It’s just the first 4 games not any 4 games.

I agree a freshman may now get a couple snaps particularly if one of the 3 upperclassmen TE misses time.

I’m sure others noticed that Gentry is now listed as a monstrous 6’8, 267 lbs.  He’s basically a light, agile tackle now (who can split out and burn a linebacker). He wasn’t a terrible blocker last year so I wonder if picks up more inline blocking TE snaps that would’ve gone to TWJ.  Eubanks may get more Y TE snaps?

thought he would do great things here.  Once Sr left, I always feared this day would come

Except he wasn't the greatest blocker.

Would have been interesting to see what he could have done if he stayed at DE.

This is sad.  It's not surprising, but sucks.  It's like when a couple you really liked split up & you're not mad at either.  I hope he does well in the future.

That's a shame. He went to school with my son in Ann Arbor kindergarten through 7th grade and is a nice kid and a helluva an athlete.

Wish him well.

I’m so sad about this. I was hoping he would have a breakout year. He’s been injured throughout his career at M...I wish him all the best wherever he ends up.

Well this stings less than I thought it may from hints umbig11 had been dropping. Really more disappointed in the loss of his potential than what he did. He was still our best blocking TE but thought he'd be so much more. Guess injuries have been a big reason for that.

Roster Changes from 2017

Compare and contrast the 2017 Fall Roster and the 2018 Fall Roster

Among those who were on the Fall Camp 2017 roster and who at that time might’ve been expecting to remain at Michigan are: Kekoa Crawford, Wilton Speight, Drake Harris, Ryan Tice, Kareem Walker, Alex Malzone, Tyrone Wheatley, Jr., Elysee Mbem-Bosse, Ja’Raymond Hall, Maurice Ways and Ian Bunting, none of whom are on the Fall Camp 2018 Roster.

Going into last season if I saw that list I would assume:

Wilton had a great year and is going pro. Crawford would have surprised me big time because he was a true sophomore and slated to be our top outside returning receiver. Writing was on the wall for Drake and Ways. Tice? Would have assumed he never would have passed Quinn. Malzone would also have been no surprise. Walker would have disappointed me but the reasons were probably expected. Wheatley I would have assumed injuries and young guys passing him. Elysse and Ja’Raymond? Not too much on them. I would have been shocked to know Bunting would be gone to anywhere but the NFL after expectations.

A lot can change in a year for sure
