Neat.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:18 AM ^
Yeah, but both those loser guys are returning next year, so it's a pretty safe bet one will win.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:28 AM ^
Don't take a buckeye at his word
Negative percentage chance Young comes back
December 15th, 2019 at 9:03 AM ^
$100 million percent chance he plays on Sundays next fall
December 15th, 2019 at 2:28 PM ^
I think Haskins said the same thing.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:50 AM ^
Fuck Ohio.
December 15th, 2019 at 1:10 AM ^
I don’t understand why Young would return. He’s guaranteed over a $20 million signing bonus. It’s one thing if you are a DPJ type who could benefit from another year of college football but a guaranteed top 3 pick to return is dumb.
December 15th, 2019 at 1:55 AM ^
Because all the things that are bad for Michigan are guaranteed to happen.
December 15th, 2019 at 3:25 AM ^
That's how deep the Michigan hate goes. Someone(s) is going to line his pockets with a little change if he sticks around. It don't make cents if you don't make dollars, you know...
December 15th, 2019 at 9:05 AM ^
But why stay for cents when you can make dollars?
December 15th, 2019 at 6:01 AM ^
Chase young has already ‘clarified’ those comments. Not saying umich will win, but you also sound pathetic
December 15th, 2019 at 9:02 AM ^
Young already has an agent. He is gone. In fact if they weren't in the playoff I would bet be skips the bowl game.
December 15th, 2019 at 9:29 AM ^
Another one not returning to OSU is S Brenden White. (entered the portal last week)
The son of the Lions S William White, and the 2018 Rose Bowl Defensive MVP. BW was supposed to be the starter this year in the "bullet", and new coach GM was very excited about him when speaking to the media all Spring and at the start of the season. WW still has many friends in the beautiful State of Michigan, and great friends with Anthony Carter and other Michigan legends.
Personally, I think if Michigan attempts to get him he would consider. He is pissed off with the coaches in Cbus, and would love to try and stick it to them. (Maybe Michigan could move Dax into the slot?)
BW is also good friends with Joey Velazquez, and was very jealous of the trips JV gets to take abroad. He went to high school with EW kids at Liberty in Powell as well.
What do you think Matt Dudek/CP? Worth a call>?
Ohhhh, one more thing. In today's Columbus Dispatch there is a very interesting article on WW being fired from his job at OSU for sexual harassment, and having to be escorted off the Buckeye Cancer Cruise. He was diagnosed with ALS 4 years ago..
Cheers
December 16th, 2019 at 10:52 AM ^
I really hope Dobbins leaves and the Lions picks him up. I would much rather see him on a team that I am rooting for than the Buckeyes again.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:20 AM ^
Weren't you just bitching about OSU topics on this board?
December 15th, 2019 at 11:34 AM ^
Must be the herpes talking
December 15th, 2019 at 12:24 AM ^
And yet he praised OSU as if he still attended the school. I admired his speech and still felt sick to my stomach. I want guys like this at Michigan.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:43 AM ^
Its insane to me that OSU has heisman winners burried on the depth chart at qb.
That and coach O really makes a connection with his players.
Coach O isnt cajun brady hoke. Brady hoke is shitty midwest coach O.
December 15th, 2019 at 9:48 AM ^
If there's one thing you can't hate on Hoke for, it's connecting with his players
December 15th, 2019 at 10:24 AM ^
The author of this blog ripping on James Franklin and Eddie O really hasn’t aged well.
December 15th, 2019 at 1:59 PM ^
AS for the OSU depth chart at QB, they're very thin this year as everyone transferred out when Fields transferred in, But they do have a very good QB coming in next year in injury-proned, 4-star Jack Miller who's ratings have taking a hit because of the injuries.
The key is keeping CJ Stroud out of Columbus as this kid is going to be big-time and is one of the fastest risers in the 2020 class. Not sure, but I think he's enrolling early and it's going to come down to UM, Georgia, and OSU. If he doesn't sign with us, I sure hope he goes to Georgia
December 15th, 2019 at 8:24 AM ^
One of the greatest Heisman acceptance speeches. He showed a ton of respect to both programs.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:25 AM ^
Santa isn’t real.
And neither is the fact of Chase Young becoming a successful NFL player.
I’m sorry.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:31 AM ^
Probably depends on how you define successful
Might not be a hall of famer or anything, but probably will be a day one starter
December 15th, 2019 at 1:11 AM ^
Is this sarcasm? If so, I will go with it.
Everyone knows OSU struggles to develop nfl level DE’s. Just look at the Bosa’s. Whatever happened to those bums? We may never know. Young appears better than they were though, so he might have a chance at making a roster.
December 15th, 2019 at 1:37 PM ^
While true, the problem is our defensive line coach--the one developing nfl-level DEs--is now at Ohio state.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:47 AM ^
Our good players hardly ever stick around for their senior or RS senior seasons. I guess we will have to wait until we get to the level of making the playoffs but that will be tough to do with an elite team like OSU in our division. They need to expand the playoffs to 8 teams. Or change the divisions in the B1G to north - south, then the current east - west.
December 15th, 2019 at 8:56 AM ^
Even if they weren't in our division we'd have to play them IF we won ours, and they'd still beat us and we'd still miss the playoffs.
If we want to win the B1G Ten and make the playoffs we have to beat OSU regardless of how the B1G Ten is set up.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:44 PM ^
"They need to change the rules so we can be included in the playoff and change the conference so we don't have to play hard games."
?
December 15th, 2019 at 12:49 AM ^
We need the narrative out there that players have a better chance at success if they go to a school other than the southeastern ohio state one.
December 15th, 2019 at 12:54 AM ^
These attempts at shaming OSU are pathetic.
I see this dumbass headline, and all I see is "OSU has two heisman candidates, and the dude who won it wasn't even good enough to see the field in Columbus".
There's a ton to trash talk OSU about. But this crap is cheesy and sad.
December 15th, 2019 at 1:01 AM ^
Whatever today fuckin sucked. Next few weeks won’t get any better. Fuck it all.
December 15th, 2019 at 1:52 AM ^
Yea fuckkkk it all. Bama gonna butt truck is into submission.
December 15th, 2019 at 1:51 AM ^
I don't normally consider pooping cool, but I guess it could be. How is it less cool tonight?
December 15th, 2019 at 2:00 AM ^
Clearly God hates Michigan. Bo Schembechler made a deal with God, but then as soon as Bo died the deal was nullified and Crable hit Troy Smith late and then we continue to get fucked in the bumhole. Accept it.
December 15th, 2019 at 2:02 AM ^
In all seriousness, if we as a group continue to post 4th grade material like this, we will turn into another 11 Warrior site. The post and titles on that site are as cringe worth as this one. Please stop. 11 Warriors have 1 good thread for every 6 bad threads. Let's not become that.
December 15th, 2019 at 7:30 AM ^
Really? They just suck each other off over there. THIS is the board with the 1 for 6 ratio.
December 15th, 2019 at 10:03 AM ^
I didn't want to be the one who said they suck each other off. Guess it's obvious.
December 15th, 2019 at 6:45 AM ^
"Tis far better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all". Ohio had 3 guys in the top six , Where was Michigan's?
December 15th, 2019 at 9:44 AM ^
I love more revisionist history from osu fans, this time an osu troll. So now if you become a finalist and don’t win it’s still a win? I bet you guys felt the same about Peppers a couple of years ago...oh wait...
December 15th, 2019 at 10:05 AM ^
What he is trying to say is OSU Heisman's are a mirage.
December 15th, 2019 at 10:05 AM ^
What he is trying to say is OSU Heisman's are a mirage.
December 15th, 2019 at 7:29 AM ^
And those two “losers” will come back to beat Michigan by 40 in the shoe next year.
December 15th, 2019 at 10:07 AM ^
Unless they are making more money at OSU than by being drafted, yes they are "losers" and not too smart to top it off.
December 15th, 2019 at 7:36 AM ^
Wait a minute, weren’t you just complaining about too many Ohio OPs on a Michigan blog? Then you go and make one yourself? Baffled.
December 15th, 2019 at 9:53 AM ^
I barely remember posting this. Man, that Leopold Brothers apple whiskey must have been really, really good.
carry on, happy holidays, my subconscious needs a cleansing and I accept my board lashings for my troubles.
December 15th, 2019 at 10:44 AM ^
You're probably not supposed to mix alcohol with herpes meds.
December 15th, 2019 at 10:32 AM ^
The Heisman ceremony made me sick to my stomach. It was basically an infomercial for Ohio State, Burrow’s speech included. The kid is all class but he gave Ohio State coaches more credit than his own supposed genius OC and QB coaches!
December 15th, 2019 at 12:22 PM ^
Three kids who apparently never attend classes go 1-2-3 in Heisman Trophy for top "college" football player.
I wonder how these schools confirm who is completing the all-online course load for their semi-pro football players.
December 15th, 2019 at 1:08 PM ^
I guess that’s a moral victory for us, eh? Who are we signing at QB in 2020?
They have 3 guys finish in the top 6 of voting and a graduate wins the trophy while lavishing praise on them, hugging their HC and expressing gratitude to their program.
Yeah, that’ll teach ‘em!
CJ Stroud just committed to them and their other 4* QB reaffirmed. I guess the idea that the #2 guy can transfer and win a Heisman helped. Wonder where they got that idea?
