He must have seen the full wrath of the NCAA coming.  The whole staff should be canned ... or is a 2 game suspenion in the works?

Defensive Coordinator named interim Coach?  Where have I heard that before.  Anyone remember Lloyd Carr.  Seems to me he coached for quite a long time after spending year one as an Interim Coach.

What are the chances tOSU takes looks at Mark Dantonio as a potential coaching candidate?

He was assistant there and it would seem not that different from us looking at Hoke as a candidate.

Gary Patterson seems to be pretty content at TCU and I will say the same thing for Chris Peterson at BSU. Pelini has the ties to that school in Ohio but why would he leave a team that is by all appearances doing well so that he can take a massive rebuild project. Pelini is an idiot and seems to me to be a no-class type of guy but I don't see him going anywhere near that mouse trap.

I have some mixed emotions about this. He did the right thing and got what he deserved. But, he leaves with a 9-1 record against us and I would have loved to see us even up his record before he departed.

A part of me is pretty sad that Michigan didn't have a chance to turn things around against OSU and Tressel.  Now it seems like it's the perfect storm for Michigan over the past few months.  Everything is setting up very nicely with the OSU shitstorm and how we are cleaning up in recruiting.  It's pretty exciting to be a Michigan fan lately.

I keep hearing people lament the fact that we didn't get a chance to beat Tressel and are upset that he is gone....I'm not sure I understand that one.  He CHEATED to win.  In my opinion, that makes his record against us null and void.  I could care less that we didn't get to "beat" him....he left in disgrace and is walking away from a program that is under the NCAA microscope - how much worse could you beat someone?

I really wanted to see Hoke beat Tressel at least once.  I know all that matters in the end is wins and losses, but I cannot stand the fact that Tressel has such a great record against us.  There was a great hatred that I formed against the guy, but he always had an exceptional team on the field which ultimately was a positive aspect for the Big Ten IME.

Here's to hoping Brady Hoke begins a long-term domination against tOSU and the OSU fans hate him as much as most of us hated Jim Tressel for winning.

serving out the punishment with the team and all that crap?  I'm not sure why I am angry with this whole thing.  Is it because I bought in to the "he's different" crap OSU was throwing out or because they'll never be able to even the score with him?

Regardless, he's quit....move on with the speculation of the usual suspects (Pederson, Patterson, Pelini, Meyer, etc).  In all honesty, we know the NCAA is about to release the fury on the school.  Who really wants to go there at this point?  Lane Kiffin's the only one dumb enough to go to a school with that kind of crap rolling down.

Interesting timing. Why announce on a national holiday? Did they think they could avoid a media firestorm and draw less attention because people wont be at work in front of computers or home watching tv? OR osu caught wind of what was in the article coming out tomorrow and it must be pretty damning.  This is like when you are a kid and your parents let you open one present on Christmas Eve before opening the rest the next morning.  I was planning on having an awesome day today. Now thats a done deal.

I hate to have had my point validated by him especially after he just spent 5 minutes saying what a great man cheatervest is and how if he had a son he would have wanted him to play football for Tressel.  I think the pundits trying to save Tressel's name by saying he made one mistake will have egg on their faces come tomorrow around noon.
