Wow, they are lucky they didn't play us twice in '01, '02, '05', '06 and I would make an argument for '07 potentially as well.  Idiot doesn't realize that in general, when two teams are closely matched, the loser of the first game usually wins in the second time they meet.

This is the man who, after the 1992 game, said "This tie is one of our greatest wins ever!"

Needless to say, he doesn't quite get it.

Apparently OSU's AD doesn't know the difference between "reply" and "reply-all."

I sent a long email to Gordon Gee, Gene Smith, Mary Sue, Dave Brandon, and Jim Delany, assuming they wouldn't read it.

I just got a response of:
"Drew, thanks for your comments, appreciate the insight, gene

Sent from my iPad"

But he did reply-all, which means that Gee, Coleman, Brandon, and Delany all got an extra copy of my email.  I hope this turns into a big email chain.

But that I got a response at all is encouraging.  I suggest you all email all of them.

Being an M fan trapped in Columbus really blows right about now.  I was listening to sports radio on the way home from work today and there two ass clowns were saying that Michigan fans were all for being in a separate division because we knew we had no chance to win a division with anOSU in it.  And then their own president comes out and says this.  Just hilarious.

Be thankful everyday you aren't in Central Ohio.

Seconded. I have mixed feelings, but I understand why they're separating Michigan and OSU.

Having Michigan and Ohio State in the same division means PSU is in our division as well, and do we really want to be in the same division as the 2 schools that have by far the best recruiting base in the Big 10? Would the 3 other schools in the PSU/UM/OSU division scream bloody murder over having 3 national powers in their division? Almost certainly.

The reality is, for a divisional system to work in the Big Ten, Michigan and OSU need to be separated. Otherwise, Penn State or some other schools are going to go ballistic. If moving the game to the middle of the season is the end of the world, then we should have a single division and pair the top 2 teams in the championship game.

I have absolutely no problem being in the same division at OSU and PSU.  Both teams have been on our schedule for 15 of the last 17 years . . . what's the difference if that continues?

Besides, if it's schedule strength that concerns you, you shouldn't want UM and OSU to be divided, because we're going to be playing them in any event.  With them as our guaranteed non-division game, we'll have a tougher schedule than everyone else in our division most of the time.
