TomVH: Justice Hayes Update
Wanted to post this separately so everyone saw it. RB Justice Hayes has decommitted from Notre Dame. He's now considering Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Michigan.
I spoke to him briefly about it, and he said that Michigan is in it for him. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tennessee get him either, though since DeAnthony Arnett is his friend.

Did you get any sense of what in the world caused this?
November 21st, 2010 at 9:32 PM ^
but heard that he went to the Utah game and "....didin't feel the love" from the ND coaching staff. Kelly caught wind of it and let Hayes know that Kelly didn't appreciate that attitude.
This is all rumor, but I wanted to pass it on.

That sounds like a 12 year old who slips up and gets defensive about it...
November 22nd, 2010 at 6:50 PM ^
Kelly doesn't and won't hold recruits' hands
November 22nd, 2010 at 7:09 PM ^
Maybe not, but it would be nice if he would at least hold video assistants' hands.
November 22nd, 2010 at 7:17 PM ^
at all.
November 22nd, 2010 at 8:00 PM ^
I'm not trying to be funny. I'm pointing out that Brian Kelly is an ass.

I guess not every coach can rub their players will soft fluffy stuffed animals
November 21st, 2010 at 8:58 PM ^
Any word on an official, Big Chill?
November 21st, 2010 at 8:58 PM ^
also, wtf is in the water in Tennessee?
November 21st, 2010 at 8:59 PM ^
Nascar exhaust
November 21st, 2010 at 9:00 PM ^
Lane's "volunteers" still welcome the players on their visits.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:05 PM ^
It took a moment before I realized she was toying with a god damned snake.
That's going to leave 'em guessing.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:27 PM ^
....I was about to make a really bad comment/joke about snakes but I have lost enough points already.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:25 PM ^
so i guess that's the "snake oil" that they use in Tennessee...
November 21st, 2010 at 9:34 PM ^
I guess they have a different idea of scarves down there.
Guys, if you are going to stare at a girl, make sure she doesn't have a snake around her neck and she isn't from Tennessee.

This is the funniest vid I've seen all day. I've always wanted dating advice from women with live snake jewelry.

..This
EDIT: Never mind, I'm married and my wife is sitting right next to me.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:24 PM ^
You could always use that picture to segue into some Sunday night heavy petting.....
November 21st, 2010 at 9:43 PM ^
...After twenty years of marriage, son, that's not really how it works.

Ah man, that is totally not what I signed up for 2 years ago.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:51 PM ^
Since it's not likely he'll end up at ND or MSU (or another team we regularly play), this seems to be a win regardless -- though, I think the M coaches would take him in a second.
November 22nd, 2010 at 9:53 AM ^
I have heard how he and Arnett are close, Arnett mentioned that he had know for a month that he was going to Tennessee, wonder why Justice is just now decommitting. Maybe Arnett has been working on him for a month or so, getting him to check them out and come with him. Justice would be a bigger get for Tennessee, not as deep as we are at RB.
November 22nd, 2010 at 4:48 PM ^
with a history of putting big-name players into the NFL. From what I've been told, anyway.

Unless it doesn't leave room for a 4 star DB or LBer.

November 21st, 2010 at 9:38 PM ^
or cut a kicker
November 21st, 2010 at 9:38 PM ^
Cut a player? Saban, is that you?
November 22nd, 2010 at 6:17 AM ^
to cut a kicker.
just sayin'.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:02 PM ^
I read on the Tennessee scout board that there was a mystery visitor in Knoxville a couple of weeks ago, and they think it might have been him. Any validity to this, as far as you know?
November 21st, 2010 at 9:06 PM ^
What's it like?
November 21st, 2010 at 9:11 PM ^
I guess he didn't commit. Damn. I'd ask for a Frost update but we all know it's coming. Appreciate your hard work, Tom.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:13 PM ^
Kris wants to announce at whatever all-star/all-american whatever game he's playing in, but since he's enrolling early, he'll probably silent commit before that. Not saying he did, but if he did commit, we wouldn't know for a while anyway
November 21st, 2010 at 9:16 PM ^
I forgot. Thanks. Just a bit worried since he still has an official at Auburn left before deciding. The real wild card for Frost might be the NCAA.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:17 PM ^
Tom,
any idea who Hayes may be leaning too, any indication? Thanks!
November 21st, 2010 at 9:29 PM ^
any chance hell play DB? or is he strictly an RB
November 21st, 2010 at 9:38 PM ^
He probably could, but we're recruiting him for RB. From his Rivals profile:
Hayes is very versatile and could player defensive back, wide receiver or running back at the next level.
November 21st, 2010 at 11:23 PM ^
something tells me he will at least get a few reps at DB in practice just to see what he's got... assuming we get him, of course.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:50 PM ^
ND is bleeding recruits right now. I haven't been keeping track but haven't they lost 3-4 commits over the last couple of months? Also, I'm surprised that State isn't listed as one of Hayes' final choices. I thought they were a favorite prior to him declaring for ND.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:54 PM ^
..They've lost
FL DE Aaron Lynch (Now committed to FSU)
FL OT Jordan Prestwood (Now committed to FSU)
MI RB Justice Hayes
And I feel like there's one I'm missing
November 21st, 2010 at 10:13 PM ^
You are missing Clay Burton who committed to Florida after he decommitted from ND.
November 21st, 2010 at 10:17 PM ^
Yesss that's the one. Thanks, that was gonna bug me all night.
November 21st, 2010 at 10:27 PM ^
...but I wonder if M won't be better off with Rawls as the 2nd RB in the class (if he can qualify).
November 21st, 2010 at 11:04 PM ^
November 21st, 2010 at 11:21 PM ^
Hart already gives them a quick, smallish back who darts around. Rawls add a guy who's a bit of a bowling ball into the mix.
