I know I am in the minority here but I like and respect Oregon. They have an exciting offense a competent defense and they just play good football.

They have some really good athletes on the team as well. LaMichael James is a great running back. Their tightend Paulsen is sure handed and 21 out of 23 receptions this season have been for first downs or touchdowns, thats clutch.

This is Michigan of the future.

against UCLA's bendover D. But those unis? Just cause they're not as fugly as the recent crap Oregon's worn doesn't mean they're not awful. Those puff sleeves belong on party dresses. The shirts look like something the Delta Gammas printed up for this Friday's charity dance marathon. And what's with the Mary Tyler Moore capris on the QB? Retarded.

...are basically doing what we did to BGSU, except they're doing it against a team that beat Texas.  Yikes.

The halftime box score is straight outta Xbox:

  • 39 plays, 357 yds., for 9.15 yds./play
  • 39 plays, 21 1st downs and 4 TDs, 64.1% of their plays have resulted in either a 1st down or a TD
  • 205.4 passer efficiency rating
  • Out of 39 plays, the Ducks have faced a 3rd down only 3 times: 3rd & 2, 3rd & 3, and 3rd & goal from the 12.
  • They've faced 4th down 3 times, coverting twice and kicking a FG the other time.
  • "Punt?" What does it mean, this "punt?"

Here's the Ducks' drive chart from the 1st half:

  1. 8 plays, 90 yds., TD
  2. 10 plays, 77 yds., TD
  3. 3 plays, 55 yds., TD
  4. 11 plays, 85 yds., TD
  5. 8 plays, 65 yds., FG (Okay, who fucked it up?)

Oregon HC and former OC Chip Kelly learned his offense from...the guy half the fan base wants to shit can, Richard Anthony Rodriguez.

I googled but couldn't find - did he go visit RR and learn the offense from him? I know RR influenced a lot of these guys, would love to see a Kelly reference directly cited. I'd like to send Bill King at rivals radio an e-mail on this
<br>Help stomp out some of the 'RR is a rube' arguments with "best O in the country is based on RR's principles" (along with our 3rd best O). And of course, yes this O works in the B10. Northwestern was one of the early adopters... beat us 54-51 in 2000 b/c of the spread

I could tolerate Oregon's uniforms if they didn't have those ridiculous feathers on the shoulder pads.  And the duct-tape (duck tape?) numbers.
