The Team...The Team...The Team...in Rome!
Kyle Rowland Michigan beat writer for the the Toledo Blade is apparently travelling with the team and documenting on Twitter.
Throwball! lol.

This got me good. Amazing.
In less than 30 seconds a 3rd world refugee cuts through the delusional BS of American culture. Extra points for turning his back on demi-god Harbaugh and laughing at him as he walks away. Is this an emperor has no clothes moment?
Having said that, I like the idea of a "National Throwball League" kicking off every Sunday.
Although in that vein, maybe football (that is, soccer) should be called Kickball. One would think that sports would be more prone to the usage of verbs as descriptors rather than nouns. Go figure.
It really has nothing to do with "the delusional BS of American culture" and everything to do with that fact that American football, like rugby (a.k.a. rugby football), Canadian football, Gaelic football and Australian rules football all descend from the same source (a different offshoot of which became association football - soccer).
Indeed, and they descended from a rugby-like game called "football" because it was played on foot, unlike the horseball version played on horseback (which became polo, I believe). The "foot" in "foot ball" is the same as the "foot" in "foot soldiers." Foot soldiers did not, despite the name, fight by kicking each other.
...spreading the gospel to the uninitiated.

He's got some work to do.
We really have a unique and awesome guy at the helm. Bravo!

Am I crazy or did he just say "No mas" to a guy in Rome? :D
Also nice profile pic!
Yeah, I initially thought he went Roberto Duran on Paulito Blartione, but I think he says no more.
the security man reaffirms this with his statement of "no mas." This makes sense inasmuch as Italian is the closest to the Spanish language I've read.
What this means is that the SEC will immediately move to get a ban on any football practices held inside Italian shopping centers. The proposed legislation will also include any place considered a World Heritage Site as well.
Harbaugh told not to throw a ball inside. Classic.
never play ball in the house...
Peter threw the basketball down the hallway and it broke mom's favorite vase.
Tsk, tsk for getting the wrong Brady reference.
IIRC Marcia lost a date because of this. "Oh, my nose!"
You sure it wasn't because of that shirt?
That shirt can be removed!
I dreamed of removing that shirt all through puberty.
I gotta admit - I'm not thrilled that Harbaugh bought a selfie stick.
there are players from 127 FBS schools looking at these clips and thinking to themselves, "Damn, that would be so awesome" Great job, as usual Coach. And fuck you Pete. You should take the summer off to have your nose surgically removed from Saban's spinchter.
Il Squadra, Il Squadra, Il Squadra, Il Squadra - A Roma!!!!!!
The press Michigan is getting (Rome trip, draft this week, baseball ascendant, softball holding its usual high course, great hockey coach) is fantastic.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but were Michigan players guessing the age of the Pantheon and saying 30 and 50 years old ? Couldn't hear the whole context but LOL.
I couldn't listen to it either, but if the guess was that it was built between AD 30 and 50, that's not far off at all. I believe that was built around AD 125.
Just a WAG.
I would be very impressed if they just happened to have such a close guess. We may never know the truth.
actually know some things? Or may have done some research before the trip? That statement seems...really presumptive.
Also, one of the popular classes when I was in school and which a lot of athletes took was called Roman Sports and Daily Life. Interesting class, but a lot of these guys probably know more about Rome than many of us (I've forgotten most of the details I learned but it's more fresh for them).
I wouldn't be surprised if Harbaugh/staff put together some sort of info packet regarding the history of Rome for the team to review before the trip.
TheMichiganDifference.
There was a great interview with Marty Smith on the Russilo & Kanell show today. Worth checking out the podcast to hear it.
Smith was very positive about the whole experience and about Harbaugh as a person, coach, and even father.
Michigan and JH.
Last fall, he was all about Clemson.
careful, coach, you don't know where that fountain's been!
Jim Harbaugh said he wished for a national championship when he threw coin into Trevi Fountain.

Swoon.
I will do the same the next time I am there!
Someone should make a full web series about Coach's activities during the offseason.

Marty Smith is about to have a live hit on SC with SVP from Rome.
I'll try to DM the guy on Twitter. Tommorow's my last day in Rome and it's highly frustrating I missed the team by a couple of hours multiple times at some place.
