and certainly remember the days of Chris Kaman, Dan Majerle - and even Melvin McGlaughlin and Ben Poquette - fondly. BUT with no Marcus Keene - this one is all Michigan!
man, it is April, wand I don't think it is time for doom and gloom just yet. Your points have some validity, but consider this:
1) Outside of Zimmerman, we have Verlander and Fulmer, two great starters, and Norris and Boyd, young guys that definitely have some game. And I still have hope for Zimmerman to come back around.
2) We are in 1st place despite a dismal bullpen, Miguel ineffective for 1st 10 games and now hurt, V-Mart not hitting well, and JD Martinez hurt. All three of those bats will get going.
3) Your point about the starters needing to go at least 6 - that goes for about any team.
4) Bullpen does suck - but Justin Wilson and Alex Wilson have been doing their jobs, w Justin Wilson really strong. Just need a couple of others to also step up. K-Rod just might be getting old, you need to have a 90-91 MPH fastball to make your change up work. Sanchez/Greene/Ryan/Rondon - I have no response to this, they have been pathetic. We need 1-2 of these guys, or Jimenez, to get in the same place as the Wilsons.
5) The Central is winnable - Twins and White Sox are pathetic, KC back to being KC, and Cleveland is good but has their holes.
6) Dude, it is April, and we are in 1st place. Lighten up and let the glass be half full - at least until the "June Swoon"...
Otherwise, you are right on. The money, women and cars will come after 4 years of NFL ready training with Jim Harbaugh. Not to mention a great education and the best college experience anywhere. This is a no brainer for young Mr. Milton, he with the RIDICULOUS arm...
beef on the O-line, more fast, cover DBs.
Not worried about skill players, they will be in adundance.
We get the O-line rolling, we can start competing in playoffs...
PWO. Over 150 tackles his senior season. Small for D-1 (6'0", 209 lbs) prob made him consider his options. But if he has the heart and puts on some beef - this kid will play someday.
its 140th anniversary of its 1st football game with a rematch against Racine College. That would be a barnburner! That 1879 game was a defensive battle: 1-0.
Racine closing its doors in 1887 has made recruiting difficult - but they may play us more competitively than Rutgers...
every other recruiting ranking and discussion that takes place on thousands of sites (including mgoblog), trying to predict a high school recruit's chances of success before they have ever taken a play on the field? How dare this writer give his opinion on such a topic! It is a travesty, given all of the other well informed opinions we get online.
Joking aside, I think the fact that Kareem Walker is on the list indicates that the writer was at least doing his homework and trying to develop the best list. Why use a redshirt freshman on your list if you were lazy? Would have been much easier to grab Rivals top 50 recruits for 2017 and quickly pick 25 of them.
Hope he is right on Walker, Solomon and DPJ! Going to be fun to watch all three.
would need to hit the side of the backboard with a few shots before anyone going to compare him to Larry Brown's "Human Victory Cigar". Not going to happen.
Cannot believe still that the Pistons picked him over Carmelo Anthony. And of course, Chris Bosh was 4th pick, Dwayne Wade 5th pick. Man alive - that was beginning of the end for Joe Dumars as the GM...
South Carolina has a hell of a team. Was so great seeing them advance to 2nd Round for first time in school history. You could see how much it meant to players and fans after the game, when the players went over to cheer with the Gamecocks section.
And of course - to hell with Duke
Would love to see the Cocks beat the living shit out of Baylor!!!
Tired of the "experts" saying how bad the BIG is this year. Would love to see BIG go 6-1 in the first round, with the RCMB pissing and moaning about their loss...
Gonzaga is up by 4. Their #16 seeded opponent, South Dakota State is shooting 33% - 9 of 27 from the floor. The Zags are a sweet 31% - 9 of 29 from the floor.
Some really ugly hoops taking place in slow motion. Man...
Spring Football started! Can't wait. Going to be fun to see all the young receivers, and who will lead the way at running back.
Could do without the "Bench Speight, Brandon Peters is the next savior" BS posts - but it is a small price to pay for the excitement of the spring season upon us. Winning days are ahead.
1) When watching it live, I remember thinking that Jeff Lebo was going to score 50 points the way he started the game. He had 17 points in the first 10 minutes of the game. But he only scored 2 more points the rest of the way.
2) 50-47 at half - man, that first 20 minutes was an offensive show by both teams.
3) Mills could bang the boards and also had such a smooth inside post game. Amazing the way he became a long range shooter in the pro's, playing with the Pistons.
4) Glen Rice was absolutely incredible. I hope the young punks on the board watch some of this - to me, he is by far the greatest basketball player in Michigan history. He had 184 points in that 1989 tourney - still the all-time record after 28 years. And outside of his 3 point daggers, he was really athletic. His slam on the fast break in the 2nd half was electric. And people forget that he led the Big Ten in rebounding as a sophomore. A true Michigan legend.

as I am sure that Marty Morninhinweg chose to take the wind after the coin flip.
Or maybe he fed Mallett the wrong plays off the Denny's menu he carries around.

Great that they are hosting CMU again.

but I will take their 5 starters against most others in majors. Fulmer is a beast!
were butt ugly!!!
By the mid 90s, they were back on track.
But they were really ugly...
referring to the O and D Lines as the "Big Uglies up front, butting heads!!!"

never play ball in the house...
for me and my lady:
6 shots of Belvedere Vodka
8 shots of Cranberry Juice
2.5 shots Grand Marnier
1 Shot of Roses Lime Juice
Slice of orange to give her the "Sex in the City" Carrie Bradshaw feel.
Good fucking cocktails!
back in 2006, after Bo got to heaven and gave him an earful. Probably best that the Pope see the light and dons a Maize and Blue robe now.
or was it Pre-Med?
perhaps we should just take over hosting the World's Largest Cocktail Party when we play Florida on September 2nd.
These Florida fans are certainly invited to the party - first round is on me...
"Spider".
What a great add to the commits list for 2018.
come down to point guard play next year. The "X" factor...

$20 bucks and have him provide play by play over the loudspeaker.
so close in that Final Four game v Duke! Oh wait - they didn't. An 81-61 ass kicking that wasn't as close as the score would indicate.
That Duke team was a machine.
And before you can cook the varmint, you have to kill the varmint. Just ask Carl Spackler.
to him! Isaiah Livers is going to be a hell of a player for the Wolverines!

animal!!!
Really just lose that 8 point halftime lead?
Yes, Rick - you sure did - SEE YA!!!
What a gutsy fucking team!!! I love this bunch - this is FUN!
is all of 1-7 with 2 points early in 2nd Half.
Really intelligent votes cast on that one...
and tell us what you really think of Vandy...

creepy 7th grade girls joke here...
the one where Kenny Anderson had his foot on the 3 point line and the refs gave him the 3 to tie and ultimately win the game?
Older Spartys still bitch about that one...
they ate biscuits and gravy for breakfast - that makes you move slow too.
Or they just suck - that makes you miss the basket as well.
So it is either pressure, their diet, or they just suck - one of those...

is missing shots and making mistakes. Gonzaga is just standing around. Horrible energy...
If they are representative of the supposed top teams in the country - then I truly believe Michigan has a chance for the Final Four!
It is painful to watch their lack of ball movement compared to ours in the Big Ten tourney.
Hope our Indiana pipeline of recruits doesn't dry up if they bring in a good coach and recruiter. Kind of liked Crean right where he was...
