In order to be great in any sport, I think you have to have one elite skill. Some questions if Paul Millsap would be effective in the NBA coming from a small school. But he was an elite rebounder. That skill translated to a higher level of competition. This kid has elite 'wiggle'. I think he'd be amazing in space at any level.

I don't know what qualifies as great but that was a showcase of a great combination of quickness, agility, and speed. I have reliable sources that state Fred compared him to Warrick Dunn AND Barry Sanders. In all seriousness I think he's very good. He's got good speed; he wasn't caught from behind much at all. Half the time he was looking back and toying with a defender. There were several instances where he was surrounded and nobody could touch him. Reminded me of FSU against us back when Bobby brung them to town. The dude can make serious cuts and make his own holes. I for one am intrigued...oh, and while we've all seen guys jump defenders I haven't seen a guy jump two defenders (around the 48 second mark)

But how big is he? Maybe his lack of size is he reason for the low rating?

Almost seems like he plays in a "no tackle" league -- they couldn't get a hand on him.

If anyone remembers Chris Johnson's highlights at East Carolina, then you'd think the same as I do...this is Chris Johnson's all over again. Wow

I'm generally not one to knock a post, but it seems a little weird if there's no tie to UM.  There are several other Hudl videos that could seem jawdropping (not that this one even does) but they are mostly posted when UM has shown interest in someone.

It isn't unknown though - we've had a lot of people in years past go ahead and do their own scouting for the board's perusal and education. About 90% of the ones that do get posted are kids witha Michigan offer, with the other 10% being in the category of "Why not him?"

I've always found the exercise to be fascinating, as it shows off the many and varied views on the direction that people would like Michigan football to go.

Didn't watch the whole highlight.  Did he do a spin move anywhere.  If yes, his name is now just "Ta'z".

Fun little highlight tape but this is not a Big Ten back, or a back for an elite power 5 program, in my opinion. He's not exceptionally fast and his height will prevent him from becoming much faster or putting on much more weight without losing his shiftiness. He's probably got another 10 pounds of muscle to add before his skill set shifts. If I were him I would look to go to a lower tier D1 school and try to make a name for myself through playing early, a la Donnell Pumphrey.

Well definitely not Oklahoma - they recruit NFL running backs. Other than that...yeah, lower tier. You're looking at a TCU, West Virginia type kid. Texas might take him but I think it would be more to maintain relationships with a major high school than planning for him to be a future starter. I think he's a third tier guy, schools that dance around the top 25 every now and then but are always in bowl games. Even at that level, though, I don't think he is an every down back.
