Summer OT: What sites besides mgoblog do you visit daily?
I'll start, in approx. order of how frequently I visit:
-mgoblog
-TD Ameritrade (I have a modest amount of $ that I trade)
-my general news feed collector in yahoo
-Collider (entertainment news and reviews)
-WSJ and NYT
-Detroit News sports
Like anyone, there are many others I visit, but not daily. I've heard that porn is big on the internet but I wouldn't know too much about that :). Also FB but not not daily.
How about you?
FiveThirtyEight...the dopest...quite possibly the TRILLEST...site on the webs

Although I am usually weary of anything that comes out of East Lansing, Nate Silver is great and fivethirtyeight is a damn fine website.
I too was disappointed when I found out his place of origin. Needless to say he was born in east Lansing, not educated there.

As someone who is from East Lansing, I can assure you the things that come out of East Lansing are fine. It's the folks who decide to stay that you have to worry about. (My mother excepted, of course.)
When Game of Thrones was on, I'd check Reddit's /r/asoiaf a whole bunch to get the latest scoop.
Everything else is intermittent
So were you spoiled at every click. Show only watchers usually go to /r/gameofthrones if they don't want to get spoiled.
There's something besides MGoBlog?
Mr. Money Mustache
Reddit/financialindependence
Realtor.com
Love me some MMM. Been trying to find some new Personal Finance bloggers I like.
BudgetsAreSexy is getting less than original in its posts. I read PunchDebtInTheFace for a while, but it's becoming too intermittent and the dude has pretty much "made it," so despite still being funny and fresh, I don't find it as interesting.
Try 1500 Days, The Frugalwoods, and Financial Samurai. All have some positives and negatives, but are good reads nonetheless.
madfientist.com - Doesn't update too often, but his past articles are very good.
jlcollinsnh.com - Same as above.
gocurrycracker.com - I have started reading regularly yet, but he has some good posts from the past.
rootofgood.com - Same as above.
bogleheads.com - I use the forum and wiki as a reference rather than daily reading, but it's one of the best resources out there.

abduzeedo.com and other design aggregate sites
Just started back on gobluewolverine.com for a couple more months after a few-years hiatus
I tend to hear about big news events from the board here.
There are a few sites that I seem to always have a tab open for:
- Detroit News (for local stuff)
- NBCNews and BBC News (National / International)
- National Weather Service (because I am paranoid)
- various sports radio sites (WTKA in the morning, others in rotation in the afternoon)
Tons of sites that I visit weekly (like Amazon or TeamRankings) or monthly.
Eleven Warriors

ESPN

People still go to the drudge report?

85 most visited web site per Ranking.com vs 12,271 for Mgoblog.
Yes on Drudge. Also:
Facebook (for five minutes or until I'm enraged, whichever comes first)
WSJ
Not sure if serious, but yeah, Drudge outranks ABC, CBS, fivethirtyeight (by a lightyear), etc.
Ok, if you like libertarian news. I stopped going to the site when they were promoting going back to the gold standard.

meaning, they just post news articles from whomever of interest - AP, local papers, CNN, UK-type papers, etc, right?
It is an aggregator in that sense, yes. But the headlines he gives his links, the pictures he runs, and the stories he chooses to link always lean libertarian or conservative (two quite different things, and he favors one over the other depending on the exact topic).
Vox, Politico, Velo, irunfar, a lot of data analysis or mapping related sites.

personal capital
How do you like Personal Capital? Seems a little invasive to me but I guess they have to be in order to deal with personal finances.
It's great for keeping track of cash flow to different categories, your retirement accounts, even your home value is linked via Zillow. It is invasive but no more than other sites like Mint or Quicken. I hear PC will call you if you have more than $100,000 in linked investment accounts so they can sell you their "personal advisor" service (from what I hear, you politely decline and they don't bother you again). I'm not there yet.
I also check r/financialindependence regularly. nice to see folks taking charge of their personal finances.
gregghenson.com
Love that guy. Called Harbaugh. Called Nike.
Also facebook. Facebook was great when it first came out. Adding new friends from different universites, everything about it was new and exiting. I was checking facebook on my phone too often and it's pointless, so I removed the app.
News: Foxnews, yahoo news, and fox2 detroit from facebook feed. I used to visit espn daily but not any more. ABC, NBC, CBS always have the major sports stories and I often listen to sports radio.
Finances: Banking, stock portfolio, credit cards, bills, 401k etc... Check them all periodically.
Youtube: random videos, music, vsauce
Work: Log in at least daily
gmail
Wikipedia: often what I read when I need info on something
Will check nhl.com or nfl.com when it's season
GOOGLE-- Obiously-- trying to use goodsearch.com--$0.01 is donated to charity of your choice with every search :) currently I'm using wounded warrior project
If you have never watched vsauce on youtube you are missing out. Check Michael out. Watch all his videos. Hard to stop
