unfortunately youre correct.  while ojemudia has not been a star this year nor made many splash plays, hes been consistent enough in his assignments, technique and effort that his teammates and coaches been able to rely on him.  the official depth chart at the position has been an issue since frank clark exited so the issues they now face should surprise no one (unless someone significantly elevates their game).

against better teams on schedule (nw, msu, osu)  m could be better served rotating bigger bodies like charlton, henry, etc whenever they want wde / buck in the game bc jenkins-stone and marshall likely cant cut it in those situations.  or even rotate guy like gedeon with bigger bodies to further limit snaps for 52 and marshall as theyre not nearly consistent enough to get it done 40-60 plays vs all conference opponents

Granted it's warranted... Ya'll are being way too pessimistic though. Seriously, this is a different team. Next man up! Every team has injuries and we have been lucky so far. Durkin will scheme appropriately with  personnel available. The D was good last year, we've taken a step forward as a unit though. Sky is the limit for this team. Or at least as far as Rudock can not blow it.

Don't know if that's easy. One thing to switch a guy from 3-tech to 5-tech. No problem. Quite another to switch a guy from a three-point stance to two-point stance. I doubt Durkin changes the technique of the Buck position.

I'm betting RJS is going to be solid. Just a hunch.

Haven't seen much from RJS or Lawrence Marshall.  Would sliding Taco over to WDE make sense given our depth on the rest of the D line?

yep its a shame, i feel for the dude.  i hate seeing any player suffer significant injuries given all they put into it and how much it means to them but its much worse to see the career-ending type injuries.

im sure ojemudia knew hed played his last snap for m while laying on the turf (if reports are true) and thats a rough realization, im sure hes devastated - even more so since he finally earned a starting role and playing well and his D and team finally seem to have flipped the script from the hoke era
