Put Your Hands Up For Detroit.
Had the Grey Fox in Queens make this the official song for TFA training with the Detroit corps. Good stuff. Lock Thread. Its over.

I applaud Special K for playing

Dang. I really, really like that song for some reason. Going on loop #4!

It's Fedde Le Grand, not Freddie. Also, as a sidenote, apparently Freddy and Daphne aren't together in the new Scooby Doo cartoons, which is absolutely appalling.

Fred wants Daphne back and she is not interested. Fred has a sad little teddy bear to go to for comfort and Daphne is out finding new love. There is a replacement girl named "Hot Dog Water" (not kidding - I asked the kids to confirm) to help solve mysteries.

While this version is by the Dutch DJ Fedde le Grand, the original "Hands Up for Detroit" is by Matthew Dear, a U of M grad and Detroit Techno artist.

That video is a load of crap. The first technician's bra & panties don't match.

i'm pretty sure they played this at the lions game sunday. i don't remember hearing it on saturday, but apparently i stand corrected on that one.

of Devin's "catch". I remember thinking, "I shouldn't be enjoying this music because it will soon be 4th down!"
September 11th, 2012 at 12:14 AM ^
Levels by Avicii?? I'd think you'd recognize that song seems how it's so overplayed, but that's the only techno song I remember hearing at the game on Saturday. Notice the word "remember" in the previous sentence...

Total noob here....how can you really tell the difference? I mean know there is one (like how punk rock and heavy metal aren't the same), but I don't know what it is.
All I know is Daft Punk is cool

and neg away if you want, but I missed "In the Big House". The whole pre-game hype sequence was lame as hell.

ITBH is pretty good and the pounding pom-poms with it at the end of the UTL game was awesome. It gets a bad rap, like Nickelback. There are worse songs, to be sure.

I recall being very, very underwhelmed by it. Then again, it's kinda hard to top last year's, with all of the former stars touting the impressive history of the program, capped by Hoke's pièce de résistance.
September 11th, 2012 at 3:13 PM ^
They definitely need to bring back the "This is Michigan" video. That should never go away. Film new versions each year, with that year's players, and of course cap it off with Hoke's epic soundbite.

Neg away me as well, but "In The Big House" makes me think of UTL game last year and happy times. Heard it at the end of the game and will forever associate it with that game. It served as the theme song for the season last year for me. Michigan went 8-0 at home for the first time EVER. That stadium is everything they say in that song.
Which last season, was probably my favorite of all-time just to see the kids hard work finally pay off and for them to finally get their ring and win over ohio after all the shit they endured in their careers here.

All I know, is it's time to stop being like everybody else and playing 7NA whenever you want the crowd to get going. They're effectively ruining one of my favorite bands/songs.
