Southfield lawyer offering services to Mike Weber, pro bono

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Apparently Detroit-area lawyer, Neil Rockind, has offered his service to Mike Weber pro bono if OSU does not grant him a release.

He has been tweeting all about the story.

His website is rockindlaw.com

Someone close to the Weber family needs to let them know that I will volunteer my services to help him get out of LOI

Well you're a little late to the party... Weber is completely pissed, removed all mention of OSU from his Twitter. If he gets released and can go to Michigan, we would have one angry running back looking for vengeance in November.

^^^ This times infinity.  Everyone is jumping to conclusions here even going so far as to through out the litigation card.

Yes, he removed crap from the Twitters/FB/social media and he has all the reason in the world to be pissed but he still has a lot of reasons to attend OSU in the fall and until he says otherwise people need to chill the eff out.

I hope the kid gets his release (if he wants it); I wish him the best of luck, but I'm tired of hearing his name. We've moved on (I hope); we have a great RB recruit, and there's no need to worry about Mike Weber again.

I hope Weber does want out. I don't care where he goes. just think he got a raw deal and if he wants to go elsewhere I think he should be let out.

I'd be surprised if OSU would not grant Weber his release if he makes it known that he wants out. It's already been a public relations hit for them. If it's smoothed over and he stays, the story will inevitably die down. Were the Buckeyes to put up a fight in the face of Weber wanting out, that would be more costly than just the loss of a top recruit. I haven't heard that he wants out, but, you know, the story is all of 30 hours old and pretty shy on any real statements.

I'm sorry, but Mike Weber is not going anywhere. Have you guys noticed that he keeps following Ohio State football players on his Twitter account?? Kid is going to stick with OSU.

Kid needs to stick to his osu commitment.. If he pursues the release he's tarnished goods.

If I was Harbaugh n company, I wouldn't take him back for all the tea in China. ( if he received his release- will not happen)

Michigan has won on this one. They didn't get the prospect (the battle). Let's see if they can win the war (recruiting credibility with recruits that are neck n neck with both schools)

He is but... Isn'ta big part of recruiting building relationships? Sounds like he hit off pretty well with Drayton and got close to him. Then to play him the way they did, I would be pretty pissed off too. We cant sit here and say that" Harbaugh didn't have enough time to build relationship with these players" and thats why maybe our class wasnt as spectacular as some would have thought. But then turn around and say "Its not about the coaches, its about the program"

I dont know, I kinda feel bad for the dude... But he did have his chance to play somewhere else. Either or, not a good look for Urban. But im sure he will slime his way out of it.
