Slight OT:Night Bowl Game notes - Daniel Faalele pulls a Fridge Perry
Just a side note. Daniel Faalele just pulled a William 'Fridge' Perry and scored a TD in the Bowl game tonight. Ever since Jim found him in a camp I have followed him with some interest. Always wondered what would have been had he came here.......
Good for Daniel.....
Also - Minnesota is kicking WV butt (although it is only 8-0) and it is still early....

Best. Touchdown. Ever. Two point conversion to boot. Go Gophers.
Hope Harbaugh was watching. Would be fun to see Aidan do that. Fourth quarter. After they have a 28 point lead
December 28th, 2021 at 11:28 PM ^
I have always been envisioning a swing pass to him down in the Red Zone. The only problem is that once he steps onto the field, alarms and red flags would go off everywhere.
With that being stated, an Aiden Hutchinson TD in the 4th quarter would be the most Harbaugh thing to do to twist knife on defeating a SEC team....
December 29th, 2021 at 1:26 AM ^
Just use him as a decoy...throw it to him for the game winning 2-pt conversion in the national championship game.
December 29th, 2021 at 1:40 AM ^
Aidan would have been a kick ass tight end. And yes it would be hilarious to watch d backs try to match him on a swing but you're correct that him being on the field would obviously warn the defense

How soon we forget Will Carr
December 29th, 2021 at 8:28 AM ^
And the fumble…
Wasn’t it Carr at Purdue who fumbled on the goal line?
December 29th, 2021 at 2:19 PM ^
Yes, hence my comment and why I think this is a bad idea when you have a perfectly healthy Haskins back there.
December 29th, 2021 at 3:54 AM ^
Aiden regularly destroys 310 pound humans sent to stop him. Im intrigued. Honestly it would take reps but this guy would be a wrecking ball.
December 29th, 2021 at 11:11 AM ^
Hope Harbaugh was watching
Hammering Panda, anyone?
December 28th, 2021 at 11:24 PM ^
As soon as Minnesota broke their huddle with the ball on the 2, West Virginia took one look at a 6-9 380 pound fullback and called a TO. After the break, Minnesota not only put Faalele back at FB, they handed him the ball and he literally fell forward into the endzone. It really looked like no one wanted any part of that massive human coming at them. As a cherry on top, Minnesota put a receiver in as holder and ran it in for the 2 pt. conversion. Creative play calling.
December 28th, 2021 at 11:25 PM ^
6'9", 380 lb. goal line fullback. Yes, please!
December 29th, 2021 at 12:07 AM ^
Hey Vlad...tell me you got a few 7 foot 400 pounders out there in Siberia or somewhere.

LOL!! The NT, #95, was pushed back by the center and just gave up when Falaallalla was given the ball. After he scored, #95 stood up and shook his head - 'nope'... LOL!!!

I don’t know who’s more annoying, Fleck or Dabo?
December 28th, 2021 at 11:38 PM ^
Dabo by a phony mile.
December 28th, 2021 at 11:46 PM ^
I guess with his fake Christian bull crap but Fleck running around in his tight little pants, no socks and tennis shoes while getting fired up at the most remote plays is annoying as hell. It’s like Pat Fitzgerald when he thinks he’s gonna beat Michigan he gets all fired up. Tom Allen is pretty annoying too.
December 29th, 2021 at 1:29 AM ^
So basically everyone who shows emotion is annoying?
I hope you and David Cutcliffe enjoy retirement.
December 29th, 2021 at 10:20 AM ^
If you didn't like Michigan I'm thinking you'd probably hate Harbaugh
December 29th, 2021 at 11:47 AM ^
He's likely one of those anti-Harbaugh "fans" who were complaining about his sideline behavior and coaching ability previously.
December 29th, 2021 at 11:54 AM ^
I find people who are proud of how many people they hate annoying.
December 29th, 2021 at 9:52 AM ^
Dabo. I like Clemson's team and have enjoyed watching them beat the shit out of Ohio State when they meet. But I'd have love for Dabo to have lost even more games this year.

Khalid Hill. Only bigger.

Why exactly are people rooting for minnesota?
December 29th, 2021 at 12:20 AM ^
So the big ten doesn't go 0-4 like the ess eee see. Also, why would I root for west virginia?
December 29th, 2021 at 12:20 AM ^
Double post
December 29th, 2021 at 1:04 AM ^
Fuck the Big 10's other teams.
December 29th, 2021 at 1:35 AM ^
Whatever, man.
If it's not OSU, MSU...and maybe PSU and Nebraska (depending on the matchup on the other side), I have no problem rooting for the B1G.
It's not like I give a shit if any of them truly win or lose, it's not going to change my day.
"Fuck the Big 10's other teams" is so strangely emotionally invested.
I hope Utah hangs 101 on OSU and I wanted to see Pickett throw for 1,000 while Pitt held Walker to 9 yards.
After that, whatever man...not that serious for me.
Beat Georgia.
December 29th, 2021 at 7:38 AM ^
Well, Walker is going to get 0 yards, but so is Pickett
December 29th, 2021 at 8:53 AM ^
Well put maizeblueA2. For me as long as it’s not OSU, MSU or Nebraska I will root for the B1G just because I don’t have a real interest in the games and would just as much want to see the B1G do well on the big stage.
But either way it’s not going to make or break my day. I don’t get the SEC and how much they cheer for other SEC teams like it’s their own team. Have to admit I do cheer against that conference and loving that they are 0-4 right now
December 29th, 2021 at 12:07 PM ^
Apparently, we should hate every team (and everyone) except the one we anoint as worthy of us. Pretty sure this is not a happy life.
December 29th, 2021 at 7:33 AM ^
Name checks out with the double post...
December 29th, 2021 at 12:47 AM ^
PJ seems like an ass but I've never had a problem with the Gophers.
December 29th, 2021 at 1:06 AM ^
Probably because Michigan almost never loses to minnesota.
The same was the case in basketball for 10+ years until Howard showed up.
December 29th, 2021 at 1:55 AM ^
Don't you have a Peach Bowl to prepare for?
December 29th, 2021 at 11:37 AM ^
Bill Murray would disagree with you....
December 29th, 2021 at 2:48 AM ^
A) Its Minnesota - Big Ten school in a Bowl game (bit not OSU, MSU, or PSU....)
B) Its more about Faalele, again someone Harbaugh discovered. Still wish he would have came to Michigan...
C) It a HUGE Lineman getting a little bit of love....
December 29th, 2021 at 7:24 AM ^
Because I picked them in my pool.
December 28th, 2021 at 11:49 PM ^
I'm at this game!
December 29th, 2021 at 12:22 AM ^
So you're the one there...?
December 29th, 2021 at 12:36 AM ^
I noticed earlier that even Gopher fans were wearing heavier sweatshirts, hoodies and jackets, then looked up the Phoenix current temperature: 51°.
December 29th, 2021 at 2:25 AM ^
Before the game started, they had the roof of Chase Field open, and it was raining. It was chilly, wet, and not what visitors expected of Phoenix. But they closed the roof and it became okay inside.
Minnesota wore WVU's defense down as the game wore on. Neither team is great, but Minnesota had more strength and depth.
December 29th, 2021 at 7:36 AM ^
So the 'Big 12' defense of WVU didn't hold up? Huh, go figure...
December 29th, 2021 at 9:58 AM ^
In fairness, they did okay for the first half. Minnesota had good field position, and the score could have been much worse. Then Minnesota started getting 4 and 5 yard runs, and it was over: WVU's defense was spent.
WVU didn't have much of a running game.
December 29th, 2021 at 12:08 AM ^
Michigan should really try that with Whittley he was a two star RB recruit outta HS.

December 29th, 2021 at 1:38 AM ^
All season I've been wondering why we don't put him in at FB the way UGA uses Jordan Davis.
He's not doing anything but standing on the sideline and when we do that 3rd and 1, Pistol formation with Haskins behind McNamara with no lead blocker...just the straight dive...it's always an adventure.
December 29th, 2021 at 12:09 AM ^
Seems like we could have had Faalele at UofM, but we’ve had some pretty good line play without him. Still root for the guy though.
December 29th, 2021 at 12:16 AM ^
Jesse Palmer getting us pumped up-so you say there’s a chance?!
December 29th, 2021 at 12:19 AM ^
Jesse Palmer giving Michigan some love at halftime of this game. Talking about our speed at receiver, tight end and Edwards at running back. Only mishap is he kind of put Corum and Haskins in there together like they are the big and plodding styles. Maybe he hasn’t seen Corum when healthy? Also said McCarthy will play a huge role in the game. Said he’s gotten better and better as the season progressed.
