POSBANG!!! Overall, this is a very solid class - much better than I thought it might be. The late additions are fire! Especially when coupled with the portal class, I wouldn't be surprised if it were ranked up around #10. And that's a number we can compete with...

Can't appreciate enough the desire to be here of the people UM goes after. Sanristil as an example. Team core that coaches then can't mess up. Would you ever follow this program if they were the whores like our rivals and the SEC?
I would not.

Things seem to have gone quite well

Looks like there is a Stanford DL commit Cameron Brandt wants to check out Michigan by delaying his early signing.

Yes. Excited to have a top 20 class.

Here to POSBANG the Michigan Football Program and negbang stargazing "experts" that we'll prove wrong in the long run.

Back to back national championships would be pretty cool.

I like Michigan football players!

To answer my own question, I am most curious about Hewlett and Koumba and Hill is key. Go Blue.

Go Blue!
Welcome to the team, the team, the team!

Well the class ends around 16-18 but the transfer portal haul tailored to the team the team’s needs with established collegiate players can’t really be quantified. Our staff has been quite savvy with our transfer adds but we typically only had looked into a couple a year.

I’m really hoping Semaj Morgan has a great career here. He has been committed a while and seems really excited to play at Michigan.

Overall, we got a nice group of athletic and very physical players, some need development but depth created over the last few years, complemented with some experienced and talented transfers, will give the incoming and the younger guys time to be coached up.
Both lines were bolstered and got a nice combination of skilled players. A ver nice recipe for continued success. Corners and WR are very fast.

Who's got it better than us?

did you mean...

I'm excited the Michigan football is exciting.

This new protocol of multiple seasoned transfers along with normal recruits, might work out quite well. It's sure better than taking a full recruiting class and have five tramsfer.

I'm pretty excited about Koumba. I can think of no better place for a freak athlete like him to develop. LFG!!!!

Would still to have a few 5-star players. Need guys like JJ, Donovan and Will.
December 22nd, 2022 at 7:15 AM ^
Jaydn Davis and Nykolas Harbor will sign commit soon

We went from 32nd place to being close to 10th place in 6 months.
December 22nd, 2022 at 9:00 AM ^
I remember many "what is wrong with recruiting" threads that included many posts promising we wouldn't finish top 20 and that we would finish behind MSU.

I don't know how many Michigan fans truly appreciate how talented Cole Cabana is. That guys senior highlights are nuts. Nathan Efobi and Jason Hewlett are also next level athletes.
December 22nd, 2022 at 5:25 AM ^
Cabana with a few lbs could be Michigans version of Mcaffrey. 4.3 speed is something you can’t teach.
December 22nd, 2022 at 9:04 AM ^
How 'bout a we'll make'em you buy'em approach like usual? Makes me sick that Saban gets credit as this amazing coach while 3 deep in 5 star recruits at all positions. Since all his championships have been bought including LSU we'll never know if he was worth a shit as a coach. Lately it looks like no as he slides more toward TAMU only held afloat by the highest paid mercenaries.
Calling out Deion was rich and ironical.

The new group of kids is not a strong class on paper.
The good news is we only need 10-12 kids to be good for it to be a successful class and so far none of our opponents NIL superclasses have translated to the field.
Also, the portal truly saved us this year.
I'm real curious to see Cole Cabana and excited about the Hausmann and Stewart kids.

I'm most concerned about learning how to consistently spell "Jyaire" and even being certain about my pronounciation.

If you've got stars in your eyes, this haul doesn't look great. But what Harbaugh and staff are doing is creating team. Team will beat players all day long. This signing day and the portal pickups are almost surgical in how they filled in places of need. I like our roster.

Preaching to the choir here, but…
Maybe the NFL should change their model for playoff appearances based on win loss record and the composite star rankings from player results in high school like NCAA does? Or maybe by Todd Mcshay’s mock draft projections?
Oh no, that would be dumb.
I get it, recruiting matters. But it ain’t everything. We’ll land a big fish every now and then, but I love how we scout players and develop them especially in the trenches. You can win a lot of games dominating the line with 4 star skill players. Hell - Kalel Mullings outperformed 5 star heisman candidate (loser) CJ Stroud in the shoe.
posbang away!! I like em all!
Let’s Go Blue!
