At this point, fuck it. Run up the score for the non-con. Opponents are collateral damage. Show the NCAA how little their (possibly pending)Draconian punishments truly mean.

Kris Jenkins kills BG's QB in the 4th quarter while leading 77-10? Blame the NCAA.

Coach Harbaugh would've called off the dogs by now, but he's at home cleaning his neighbors' gutters.

Self-immolation - Wikipedia

The term self-immolation broadly refers to acts of altruistic suicide, otherwise the giving up of one's body in an act of sacrifice. [1] . However, it most often refers specifically to autocremation, the act of sacrificing oneself by setting oneself on fire and burning to death. [2] .

Originally the plan was for Campbell to be in the box and Hart to be on the ground. Last I heard Moore was going to be head coach for the two games he was back, and that obviously changed.

So I won’t say for sure, but I believe the plan is to have Campbell in the box calling plays, as he has done that before. Hart will have input, but Campbell has actually called a game before so he’ll be in the box and calling plays. Things could change, but I believe that’s the plan. Moore will call plays the other two games.

I imagine Campbell will also be in the box for the game that Moore is HC.

It’s important to note as well that both Harbaugh and Moore will be coaching throughout the week as well. So the game-planning will all be done by the two guys with the most say in the offense anyway, and whoever calls plays on Saturday will likely have a script of sorts and their biggest impact will come down to situational adjustments.

It's quite an ingenious plan.  Schedule softies for the first few games.  Commit some recruiting and compliance violations.  Self impose some suspensions.  Get some assistants in-game training for head coach roles.  Be ready to go for day one of Big Ten schedule.

The entire Game Day crew poked at the NCAA for being stupid with this, and said they loved the way Michigan is handling it.  But JFC, this is so friggen' stoopid!  I honestly have no idea why Michigan is going along with this bullshit.  A handful of Level 2's don't make a suspension.  The whole lying thing is as made up as some Jersey Shore skankwhore.  Why is Michigan even humoring this?

Nonetheless, considering that the NCAA has already commented publicly on it, it seems fair game.  The AD should be making as much hilarity with this as it possibly could - even calling out the hypocrisy for what it is.

BTW, if Warde had told them to fuck off when they first showed up none of this would be happening.  But noooooo...

I’m gonna laugh so damn hard if the NCAA tries to add anything. Honestly, we should just tell them to see us in court and completely ignore them. They could be like: you’re not playing; to which we’d say: um. Yea we are…nuh uhhh….I mean, what real authority does the NCAA have? I’d wager not much. Once the financial intricacies of this cartel are extricated from cfb, the NCAA will be completely screwed.

tldr; just ignore the ncaa, they have no power other than they handle a lot of the money (cartel for modern slavery honestly…)

Well, all games except the CFP are NCAA sanctioned events with NCAA certified officials overseeing the games. So I’d say they have a significant amount of power in that area in determining whether you’re playing or not.

The refs are poor anyways, so I’m sure Michigan can find some refs to hire for the non-conference games. And I’m absolutely sure two of the three non-cons next year will definitely show up to Michigan stadium for their pay day and TV time. On top of that, the TV networks want Michigan, as they’re easily the biggest draw. So trust me, if Michigan wants to play those games next year, they’ll get to. And the CFP has nothing to do with the NCAA, so whether the NCAA recognizes those games or not doesn’t matter.

I'm not sure what argument you are making.  If Michigan withdraws from the NCAA, its official record next year will be 0-0.  That's not good enough to make the playoffs.

The opponents won't play Michigan because there's nothing in it for them.  If Michigan's games next year are not NCAA-sanctioned, they don't count for the opponent, either, and our opponents will refuse to risk injuries to their players to play a team that's not even in the NCAA.

Except for the part where the NCAA wouldn’t allow their officials to officiate a Michigan game. A couple paydays from UM isn’t going to cause these officials to give up a career.

The NCAA would also mandate that none of their member schools participate in contests against UofM. With strict penalties against those who don’t comply. You’re not getting schools to face sanctions for a one-time payday from UofM in games that officially do not count. There’s literally zero upside in that. They can also get those paydays from other schools in games that DO count.

This would also shut down all conference contests. As the NCAA would have strict punishments in place for the conference as a whole for non-compliance. Conference wide bowl-bans, fines, scholarship reductions, reduced revenue shares all being on the table.

Being that Michigan would play in 0 games, they’re not making the CFP. So the CFP being unaffiliated with the NCAA ends up being irrelevant.

I continue to enjoy, as both a fan and alumnus, my complex relationship with Michigan athletics and my undying disdain for the NCAA and my concern for why my school doesn't give them the finger more and more like other schools.

Texas spends $280K for Arch Manning’s OV without a problem.

Michigan buys burgers for a few commits during CV - and they’ll impose the Death Penalty.

Are there rules keeping Harbaugh from talking to the coach midgame?  Like Minter cant just hop on discord and relay Harbaughs instructions to the field?
