Saturday Night Drinking Thread...Why Not

Submitted by Abomb4480 on

Day 4 in a row.... why not? I just poured a nice tall glass of Rochester Mills Milkshake Stout as I'm trying to recover from being the runner-up for my dream job.

What's in your glass?

Had a margarita and a house chianti at El Barzon in Detroit. If you live in metro Detroit and like Mexican or Italian food, you should try this place!!

I don't know anything about that. I know the guy in charge of this brand and who was running everything for the commercial is a Michigan grad (as is his wife) so that could have something to do with it. Though I doubt it, since he knows I'm a M grad too, and he have me a $500 gift certificate, which wouldn't be necessary if I could get it free. My part of the commercial was filmed in Valencia, CA at my home.

I'm experimenting with making my own maraschino cherries. So after a week of soaking, broke one out and, of course, covered it with a Manhattan. I have to say, not bad.

but none of drinking age.  they are of fun ages though, and all of them participated in a busy farm day which included an informal (and split up by hours) triathlon interspersed with other chores, plantings, some bull wrangling, etc.

Had Corona earlier and now I'm trying to sleep/not kill my dog as she's barking her ass off. Thought she had to pee, but instead she went crazy chasing an armadillo in my neighbor's yard. Actually had to trick her by giving her a hot dog to come back inside. Hopefully now I can sleep.

Sequana Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Nice, reasonable bottle. At my friends UWS co-op overlooking the Hudson and the GW bridge lit up at night. Sometimes, NYC can be quite beautiful.

We, along with two partners opened a bar down here in Ajijic, MX on Apr 1. Only drinking rule is purchase own drinks at cost.  Normally Centanario Tequila for me.  Was in a hurry so I stopped by the liquor store to purchas a chica - big enough to get me through the nite= but not large enough to spend too many pesos on. So I ended up with about a 16 oz. bottle of Jose Cuevo Tradicional, not the best shit where Tequila is the national wine, but with a little coke and mineral water not all that bad.
