I agree.  I have a neighbor…

I agree.  I have a neighbor who recently move in and he had a Browns and OSU sticker on his car.  We introduced our selves and told him we were Wolverines and he quit talking to us and won't acknowledge our existence.  Childish at best.  Makes no sense, our intense enjoyment of winning The Game is because of all of the losses we have endured.  With out the other teams and parity the sport means nothing.  Like I tell my son, never yell negative crap towards the other team, only yell positive stuff about ours.  So Go Blue!

Ill be with my son and his…

Ill be with my son and his friend (14yr/olds) in lot C1.  Michigan fans tend to be all over the place so its not hard to find friendly faces.  MD fans are also plenty nice, most have said in the past I just hope its a good game.  Never been harassed or mistreated.

It very much concerns me…

It very much concerns me that he's bad at basketball.  What does that mean for hearing?  Does it affect Jim Harbaugh?  Will it color his verdict?  Oh lord the uncertainty!

What I want to know is how…

What I want to know is how does the NCAA (not law enforcement) get access to personal financial records with out either having the individual give them up voluntarily or breaking the law.  Can't see Stalions giving his personal financial info to the NCAA, so that only leaves one option!  Just saying

This list is partially…

This list is partially flawed, at least as the place kickers are concerned. The rankings do not include Jason Hanson.  He played 21 seasons (I believe) with the Lions.  He should easily be one of the highest paid kickers of all time.

I would definitely not pick…

I would definitely not pick Stroud.  OSU has yet to produce any NFL worthy QB.  Every single QB they have produced since Urbs took over has been a super high draft pick and an abject failure.

Don't wast the pick

Of the other two:  Young will give you immediate success but has limits while Richardson has all the talent and raw ability but needs to be coached up.

Think so.  Howard was 4 and I think Rose was 9.  Heard a rumor once that if Robinson (Purdue) had known Web, Howard and Rose were all going to Michigan he would have also.  Imagine that!

I realize Webber was a dude, but the OP said highest ranking recruit (Mens or Women's).  Some how I commented and you corrected yourself at the same time.

Congrats to the program, but…

Congrats to the program, but you're wrong on the rating.  While it may have been before the explosion of online ratings like ESPN and such,  Chris Webber was considered by everyone to be the unanimous number one recruit in America in 1991.

Freddie Hunter.  Found playing hoops at the Intramural Building and became a fan favorite.  One of the hardest working players on the court I ever saw.

Not confused about NIL…

Not confused about NIL rights.  They will help Michigan, I agree.  How JH's idea will hurt Michigan, I do not see.  The more transparency the better.  Now paying a player to come to your school for 3 years will not have the incentive it used to.  Kid can leave after one is he is ready for the NFL.  It also, makes the S/A's decision about the education aspect of this whole thing more front and center. Whether you go to the NFL early, or don't get drafted and come back, or have a very short low paying (relatively) NFL experience you can still get your education.  Where would you rather have it from?  Michigan or Alabama. So if you want to convince me this will hurt Michigan, how?  Also, it's better (maybe not perfect) for S/A and isn't that what it should be about anyway

JBrand,  This letter is a…

JBrand,  This letter is a sign to every future S/A that Jim is looking out for them.  He's recruiting the whole damn country in one letter.  This is not a waste of time in any way.  Trying to make College Football better is better for everyone and the more we can do to make this a more even playing field with less outside money influences the better for Mich.  Unless you like the current system where OSU, Clemson, Alabama etc.. pay players to come and get all the best S/A's while the rest of us take the rest. Have you watched the CFP's the last five years.  Clemson and Alabama have been in everyone and OSU is not far behind.........

As far as this year goes,…

As far as this year goes, Ohio's talent is down.  They only have 6 total guys with a composite four star or better ranking. Only two are committed to OSU.  Two are going to Cincinnati. 1 to ASU and 1 undecided.  Michigan offered 5 of the six as did OSU.  OSU was snubbed by 2, got 2 and is waiting on 1.  Wouldn't worry to much about this year as Ohio didn't produce much.  Next year though.....

There are 3 very good…

There are 3 very good reasons:

1. All three schools have great coaches as far as ability to win and recruit. Other factors you can debate

2. All three have instilled a culture of winning and a belief among recruits that these schools give them a better chance to make the NFL

3a.  Two of these schools (Clemson and UA) have very prolific bag men programs that are completely separate from and do not involve anyone from the Athletic Department (plausible deniability)

3b. The other school is the only game in town in what is probably the 4th most talent rich state for football in the country.  Who else would you go play for in Ohio?  Cincinnati, Miami of Ohio, I think not.

Can't be that much signing…

Can't be that much signing going on tomorrow.  In ESPN 300 ranking there are only 40 players that did not sign an LOI during the early period.  Not much to choose from.  Can't expect any major surprises but one would be nice

Its the only thing we Lions…

Its the only thing we Lions fans have left. Hope for a miracle

This is the single most…

This is the single most overrated "thing" that kids use to pick a school.  It doesn't make one iota of difference if you go to OSU, Alabama, Michigan, Clemson, Penn State etc..... on whether or not you make it into the NFL.  The NFL is keenly aware of all the schools in division one and the athletes on those teams that might make a good pick.  The reason OSU and Alabama are at the top is they tend to recruit the most highly rated high school kids, which is a great predictor of making the NFL.  If kids would pick schools based on more important factors, i.e. Academic Prowess, they would be much better of in the future, if they do make the NFL.  Because, as John Thompson put it when asked why a kid should have to go to school before entering the professional leagues he said "I've never known a dumb person who could hold on to their money"

Naw, they go with Day.  If…

Naw, they go with Day.  If after two full seasons he is not getting it done, then it will be on for a coach (Jim Hermann??), if he is, then we have our rival coach for the foreseeable future.

We should go back to the old…

We should go back to the old bowl system. This new system is a band aid on a wound that never existed.  The original system was not broken.  Yeah once in a while two of the best teams did not face off and a split NC (e.g. 97) happened.  Who cares!  In a sport like CF it will never be possible to have the sport play out on the field.  To many teams.  The old system allowed for meaningful matchups that mattered to the fan bases of each team.  It used to be the Rose Bowl was an honor and a sign of a great season, now its a consolation prize for the Big Ten Champ that don't make the CFP.  (Tuff luck OSU)  In the old system OSU fans would be ecstatic to go to the the rose, now they're angry because they feel disrespected by the CFP committee. Systems like this are designed in professional leagues because the leagues can dictate fairness and equality in all things across the board.  Things like schedule, draft order (Recruiting) salary caps, etc...  CF doesn't have any of this so the big winners get the spoils every year and each year they get more bloated with talent an wealth.  Thats why its the same teams over and over in the CFP.  HS kids then see these teams produce the wins and the draft picks and think I'm going to them.  I want to win it all, "Bama gives me almost a guarantee that I will get a championship in at least one of my 3 years".  Why go anywhere else.  As long as you can't play it out on the field, the old system was far better for both CF, the fans, and ultimately the TV ratings (Money!!!!!). Go back to the old system, NOW

I know this is petty, but…

I know this is petty, but right now I am so ashamed and angry at the Big10 it seems any little dig we can get at all of the abusers in our league the better.  From now on tOSU and MSU should be referred to a tlOSU and lOSU (lower case L) which is for, as Brian said, loathsome.  Because really what is more  loathsome than protecting serial abusers. F&%! both those schools and at least lets kick their ass on the field since we are already beating them in every category that really matters....

MMB Lyrics

When I was in the MMB (early 90's) we had uncooth songs.  We made up lyrics to MSU, OSU and USC fight songs. Mainly they were dirty and mocked their school's but were harmless.  One for OSU was titled "We'll kick their Ass Across the Field" Essentially we mocked them for being from a rival school.  This crap of mocking people for being murdered and burned, as well as the attempted elimination of an entire race of human beings is beyond pathetic.  I met many bands over the years. All treated us with repect and diginity with the exception of USC and OSU.  But this is beyond that.  What low class people. Pathetic

2015 recruits

I agree with many of you JB does not recruit a lot of the 1 and done guys.  According to rivals, only 1 of the top ten 2015 recruits even has a Michigan offer.  JB's genius is in picking guys he can coach and teaching them to play Basketball. All the old school coaches used to do this, but in todays world of Kentucky type recruiting classes its amazing JB can keep this going.  A great team will almost always beat a superior talented but induvidualistic group.

If I had.....

a girl like that hanging on my every move I'd dress like that too...

Doesn't mater

as college coaches and sports writers agreed that they would always vote the winner of the NCG #1.  FSU or Auburn: whomever wins is NC

Wondering who

the next mediocre coach of the Lions will be...  Hmm is Charlie Weis available?

Only way

to fix this is for the NCAA to get subpeona power and set up a punishment for each crime ahead of any infractions.  You get a 6 game suspension for taking money the first time, 12 games for 2nd offense etc....
