I have a relative that is former Secret Service. Yes, they will have picked (or strongly suggested) her dorm, her roommates, floormates, etc. They will be there around her. The stuff floating in the news this week says she is walking around surrounded by lots of burly guys. Do you remember last fall when one of the football games had a very large police presence (there is always police presence, but this was really significantly more)? That was the game she was at. I just can't wait to have the Obamas here for Parents Weekend - traffic will be amazing.
At the Rock and Roll HOF in Cleveland, there is a letter that Madonna wrote to a friend about living in Stockwell, her classes at UM, and thoughts about quitting school and moving to NYC to further her career. I understand that eventually worked out very well for her, and her daughter also matriculated at UM; I wonder if she lasted longer than a year? Oh, and no politics...
I hope this makes Barack Obama an honorary captain for a game. It would be good PR I would think. Imagine the high level recruits wanting to do a game visit that day.
I am just imaging the media coverage if/when Barack attends a game or is even a captain... I just hope she utilizes her opportunity and becomes a great alumn for U of M like so many others... I love the University OF Michigan !!!
