Yeehaw!

Jehu!
January 27th, 2012 at 4:10 PM ^
even though we didn't get garnett, i'm really hoping that sam and a few others fall into line
January 27th, 2012 at 4:19 PM ^
Yeah, but if we got Garnett, no way would we want all these guys

the update. Well I hope we can get some positive news in the next week; although, we have a killer class thus far.

aquaman is the new kid on the block to be sure, but he backs his game up.

He who conducts a couple dozen interviews with recruits gets the benefit of the doubt, and may... just MAY... have sources other than Rivals.

I don't work with EITHER of them, but I have been made aware of their source. The source is (a) real, (b) reliable, (c) one to which they have access, and (d) not Rivals.
The source may be the same one Tim used. It may not. But I'm quite comfortable that our aquatic friend came about the information honestly.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:11 PM ^
If Sam Grant does choose Michigan I could see him getting quite a bit of playing time in 2012.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:13 PM ^
This would be a nice get. Itd heal the wound a bit of missing out on Garnett.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:14 PM ^
It's a good thing I'm still buckled up.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:17 PM ^
You just saved my weekend from utter and total . . . BLAH!
January 27th, 2012 at 4:17 PM ^
to hear.
now what about armani!?! a little bit anxious on that one...
January 27th, 2012 at 4:47 PM ^
He's also likely to be making his decision this weekend. His godfather (Camren Williams' dad) said that Armani is planning to spend a lot of time this weekend thinking about the decision. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes an announcement on Sunday or Monday.

Is there a reason he's still only a 3-star with the quality of offers he's picked up in the last month? I know that the recruiting sites do their own independent analysis, but it seems to me that a guy who has offers from Oklahoma, Michigan, and Arkansas should at least warrant a second look for a fourth star.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:22 PM ^
I've been wondering the same thing. Won't be surprised to see him with a 4th star when all is said and done. Not like Oklahoma has never had a good tight end or anything, either.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:31 PM ^
Just think about Pat Omameh. 2-star Defensive End
January 27th, 2012 at 4:21 PM ^
You guys never learn. Every single thing we hear about recruting is 100% a guess. Nodoby knows anything until the kids actually comitt. Can we please stop speculating about where so and so is going to go? Even the recruits usually does not know until the day they decide. With that said, I think Diamond is going to the SEC :)
January 27th, 2012 at 4:23 PM ^
No posbangs for you.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:23 PM ^
If you believe that, then why do you follow this site and feel the need to post on every single speculative recruiting thread?
January 27th, 2012 at 4:31 PM ^
I like it! Okay guys. I want a clean fight. Nothing below the belt.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:42 PM ^
You just jumped the shark.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:49 PM ^
I thought I'd done it months (years?) ago.
January 27th, 2012 at 5:16 PM ^
Nope. That was the post. Looks like others agree. I'll try and help you with a click on the moderate button for normal. Your problem is you're lacking toughness, accountability, and technique.
January 27th, 2012 at 6:19 PM ^
Pad level is not low enough, and there are lingering questions about motor too.
Seems gritty and coachable with a good frame, however.
January 27th, 2012 at 8:37 PM ^
You guys are both wrong...its all about hand placement!!
January 27th, 2012 at 8:08 PM ^
January 27th, 2012 at 4:25 PM ^
When you see threads that are obviously going to be dedicated to speculating about where recruits are going to go, you just shouldn't click on them. This would protect you from such trauma, and the people that enjoy them, such as myself and many others, can continue to do so. Sound fair?
January 27th, 2012 at 4:32 PM ^
Don't know how long you've been around here braaaah, but our crazy guess speculation has been pretty right on about 25 commits so far - if you include Standifer and Brown.
So maybe you should be here a few minutes before you make stupid comments like this one.
January 27th, 2012 at 5:21 PM ^
I'm all for speculating on recruits, but I think you might be overstating our collective accuracy. The general feeling on this board was pretty strong that UM was going to land Brionte Dunn, and reasonably confident--though less so--that we would get Garnett. The board was also pretty dismissive of Drake Johnson until UM signed him. So, I think the speculation (which, again, I am totally cool with) has been more hit-or-miss. But hey, that's what makes it exciting.
January 27th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
I would say it is a little better than hit or miss. Sure we missed a few but with Ace, TomVH, Tim, Auquaman and the other paysite guys, we usually get some good info.
January 27th, 2012 at 5:33 PM ^
This is what makes this site so alluring . . . just saying! Not gonna' Lie!
January 29th, 2012 at 3:58 PM ^
The board may have been dismissive, but after watching him in the Pioneer-Skyline game, with a sure 2 years until he gets playing time, I've been stoked.

It's good for Michigan to take a player in Washtenaw county, it looks good to the local community, and Saline and Dexter have had some pretty good guys over the years.

My alma mater Pioneer has turned it around in football in the past 7 years, it might develop well.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:33 PM ^
You should gtfo.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:33 PM ^
He's a Cubs fan. OF COURSE he's a pessimist.
January 27th, 2012 at 5:11 PM ^
Instead, may I suggest that we all have a glass of brandy and revisit the rise of the Bengalis in Whitechapel?
January 27th, 2012 at 5:21 PM ^
To stay out of the recruiting threads and go bury your head in a chemistry book.....
January 27th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
You guys have convinced me . . . Diamond has a 23.22% chance of coming here. I just talked to a guy who has a friend who is a friend with Diamond's former babysitter. The word is that Diamond was wearing a yellow shirt in a blue car and was driving East . . . TOWARDS Michigan. OMG . . . get excited and buckle up!!
January 27th, 2012 at 9:13 PM ^
Pehaps my sarcasnometer is on the fritz again, but the last sentence makes me think Ryno was being a little tongue in cheek here...or whatever the typing equivalent is to that (finger in nose perhaps).
Edit: I just read the posts in the Kyle Dodson thread and I think booger picker is a much better analogy.
January 27th, 2012 at 4:26 PM ^
Is he looking at a good amount of PT next season?
January 27th, 2012 at 4:29 PM ^
Mr. Kyle Kalis?
January 27th, 2012 at 4:37 PM ^
I was literally just wondering how aquaman could know someone close to the situation, then you made this magnificent point
January 27th, 2012 at 4:32 PM ^
Wednesday: Garnett is "52% leaning to Michigan"!!! We're gonna get Garnett!! We're gonna get Garnett!! Woo!! Leaning!!!
Thursday: Stanford. I'm never getting my hopes up about a recruit again. Never
Friday: "Things seem to be favoring Michigan" with Sam Grant!!!! Woo!!! Favoring!!!
January 27th, 2012 at 4:34 PM ^
I hope Grant comes so that him and Funchess could possibly be the next Gronkowski / Hernandez duo. That would be awesome-sauce.
