Roger Goodell got booed

...again, during to trophy ceremony.

He must be a useful tool, otherwise he would have been fired long ago.

Most commissioners get booed. Once it starts it never ends. Goodell deserves it, of course, but it’s just a given for him now. Gary Bettman gets booed lustily at every Stanley Cup presentation and has for decades; last year when he (edit: awarded it in Vegas) he hilariously responded by saying “now you’ve proven that you’re an NHL city!”

I haven't watched hockey for a number of years, so I don't Bettman handing off the Cup.

Baseball is done in the locker room and the only time I remember Selig get booed was in the years after the All Star game ended in a tie.

I've seen a few NBA finals recently and don't hear booing during the trophy hand-off.  I know Rodger gets an ear full every year.   Just pointing in our as he's the only one that I noticed gets consistently booed.

People hate him. People hated (still hate) David Stern. I feel like most people like Adam Silver. Roger and David are just assholes.

David Stern got worse as he aged. His worse mistake was when he vetoed the Chris Paul to the Lakers trade because he didn't want all the star players in big markets, but then allowed Chris Paul to be traded to the Clippers, who play in the same market.

Doesn't Goodell get booed every time he approaches a podium?

I don't feel sorry for him, he can handle it.  The NCAA commissioner should get double the boos.

Ummmmmm... were you expecting anything else?  If the answer is “yes” I want some of what you’re drinking/smoking/ingesting, if the answer is no... why create this post?

I’ll await your reply...

Archie Griffin was a disappointment as a pro. Arguably he was a bust; he was a first round draft pick and was a replacement-level running back in the pros. The leading rusher on most of the Bengals teams Griffin played on was Pete Johnson. Johnson was the fullback (and had played at Ohio State with Griffin).

Griffin still had a better professional career than Cook will.

Goodell seems to almost enjoy being as hated as he is around football at this point.

I mean, at the draft every year, he'll get showered with boos and who knows what else people are saying out of earshot, and he manages a slight grin now and again.
