Rivals article on Chaundee Brown

Nice article on Chaundee, talking about what motivates him and his energy to keep winning.

Notable quote: "We try to not let the [other] team get any confidence at all," Brown said. "We want them to have the mindset that they can’t be on the same court as us."

Article is here.

Can he come back next year?  If he and Smith can, it would sure make the transition to the next batch of players easier, considering we're likely to lose our top-3 scorers.

I would really like to know how much of scouting that Martelli has done, if he found both Brown and Smith... or was it Eisley or Washington...or Juwan.

Because these two couldn't be better fits than they are.

I cannot express how much I love Chaundee Brown. He's becoming one of my all time favorite Wolverines. I just love his passion and intensity, his joy for the game. He's also a damn good player. I wouldn't mind seeing him get more minutes.

If you could have either Eli Brooks or Brown come back next year who would you choose?

If Smith comes back I think I'd take Brown. If Smith does not come back I'd bring back Eli to continue handling back up PG minutes.

He (and Mike Smith) is a rare grad transfer who didn't transfer because they want more PT. They transferred mainly because they want to win and play for a winning program. They were willing to take on a lesser role so they can experience being in the NCAA tournament. That's one of the big reason why Michigan basketball has been so successful this season and it's a huge credit to Juwan for building his own culture in less than 2 seasons.

If given a choice between Josh Christopher and Chaundee Brown for one and done, I would take Chaundee 10 times out of 10. Josh is more talented but Chaundee is experienced and can do little things to help the team win. It ended up as a blessing in disguise.

Woot!  Woot!

I'm so happy for Brown, Smith and UofM.  Transfers from Wake and Columbia, no dummies either.  Intelligence, drive and an appreciation for every win.

Enjoy this year young men!  And thank you for your contributions!

Whatever happens going forward, this has been (and will be) a special season. Juwan and the other coaches have done a fantastic job at constructing this roster, teaching the players, and motivating them to play at a constant high level.

Talent, roster and player development, scheme, and motivation -- the cornerstones of a winning program.

I hope recruits see what Juwan has built here in a short time. Michigan should be high on their lists!

The picture in that article is just amazing. Chaudee celebrates in front of two dejected Wisconsin players he just dunked on. The expressions on all three players are just priceless.
