need a new person to be that unifying force to keep all problems "within the family".
I remember hearing that as an undergrad B-School student from one of our deans. To keep complaints within the family, so an not to hurt our external image. Also, when the administration would know first, they could begin to address the issues first.

I'd like to know where the voice of the prior 13 seasons to RR is? He's silence in these times has to make you wonder...

You keep saying that. No it doesn't. This is Rodriguez team now. Every time Carr chimes in, it weakens that.

You make it sound as though he's done so on multiple occasions, and the reality is he's been virtually silent during RR's tenure. That's been his stated intention from the get-go, and he's kept to that.
The primary dividing lines within the M football community—inside the AD and outside—occur right at the point where Carr retired and RR was hired. Given that the most strident RR critics look upon the Carr era as one that was sullied by RR's hire, and that the most strident Carr critics look upon his era as fossilized and correctly abandoned by RR, I think the program— I don't mean the team, since this is stuff that's beyond their immediate concerns—would benefit tremendously from some authoritative and respected voice, whether inside the AD or out, that can bridge the gap publicly and behind the scenes. That would have to be somebody who's not a reflexive critic or shameless slappy for either guy, but somebody who's been evenhanded and Michigan-focused. Either that, or Carr and RR could get together and try to publicly put an end to the constant sniping between both camps.

He does support RR. But because it is no longer his team and he is essentially the elder statesman, he will keep quiet until RR asks him to speak out. It is up to RR.

Rick will always be the MAN!
Go blue!

This time I think the past standing up behind the present would only strenghing it.
Coach Campbell also bridges the two...Would you agree he should stand up and say something then?

Coach Jackson, right?
Soup was replaced by Tony Dews.

Not a surprise here. Leach has been behind Rod since day one.

He's the epitome of a Michigan Man. A stand up guy who bleeds Maize and Blue.

To bad it's beginning to look like a 'save the wildlife foundation' kinda thing, "Hello, I'm Rick Leach...I'm here to talk to you about..."

Rick clearly stole that line from Carr on Michigan Replay.
