|1 week 2 days ago||Do a second one...||
Why not? Arrange a second one for Friday night. Or, just go alone, it is a different feel without a crowd and no one will notice the eye moisture.

Thanks Christina for doing this. Any chance for a sailing weather window soon? :)

I'm glad I waited 'til Tuesday to listen to this. Now I can enjoy the humor and the positive points Brian and Ace made. Thanks!

A 2014 pinot grigio from my own vineyard. Far too acidic to win any awards, but tasty and certainly thirst quenching. Think lemonade.
Should go well with the bacon/shrimp on the grill!

They change eh?
Saw a poster once: "If you want a new idea, read an old book." Or, in modern times, an old video. What will he bring? A win I hope.

I know, way too early.
Living on the west coast I see Fox do PAC12 games. IMHO, the coverage is too much like their NFL games, including Cleatus and too many commercial breaks. Should Fox get the contract, I hope B1G can negotiate these details and keep a college atmosphere and the focus on the game.

the actions just set into motion.
Did not have a ready pic.
Live on a 1/2 mile long dirt road. Can't take a pic of dirty car. Washed car while wife laughed at me, "Amazing what motivates you sometimes."
Then, have to figure out how to upload. Image color adjustments are still in effect. The blue appears black.
So, take that XM!

Learned on a motorcycle first. Then jumped into a 67 Mustang three speed and just drove away. Mom was blown away. "How did you do that?" "Motorcycle mom." She had a story about learning and mistaking reverse for 1st.... Fortunately, it was a country road.
Still drive one. Original owner of an 85 Pontiac Fiero GT. Painted maize with blue trim.
|19 weeks 5 days ago||Sorry skurnie||
We live with what we can get.
While Blue Moon has gone mainstream, IMHO, it is styled after a Belgian White (actually brewed using Hoegaarden yeast). Fat Tire is amber, but is also in a Belgian style similar, not as good as, but similar to Chimay.
I'm kind of stuck. I don't like bottles aboard Strider. They are heavy and once the product is consumed, the bottles must still be dealt with, stowage, risk of breaking etc. So, I try to get cans, which crush down to near nothing and are light. Blue Moon and Fat Tire are available in cans....

"From the land of sky blue waters." Never had a Hamms but remember the jingle! While a poor student, had had many PBR, Wiedemann'ss, Rhinelander ($5 a case in the late 70s), Strohs, Mickey's Big Mouth and Rolling Rock. Never been in a White Castle, but spent a lot of time in Krystal Burgers while stationed in Pensacola - pretty much the same thing.

Mackinaw Island, try to spend the night there. Way different place after the day trippers leave. Also, see the locks at Sault Ste Marie and Tahquamenon Falls.
It has been a long time since I've been there, but IIR the restaurant correctly, the Bayside Restaurant was a non pricey place St Ignace and had great whitefish. May not be the Bayside, but it was a place along the island docks.
|19 weeks 6 days ago||Nice place||
Enjoyed this area also. Great fun motoring up the river.
|19 weeks 6 days ago||Too Many Places||
I've traveled the world and spent many vacation days in great places. A few come to mind.
A Swiss Chalet on a snowy night, champagne accumulating snow while chilling on the deck. Sunset from open air restaurant overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in Positano with a bottle of Colomba Platino. Strolling through the lilacs on Mackinaw Island after mooring the boat in the marina after a long, difficult sail from Charlevoix. Diving in the Philippines and then retiring to a cabana bar with (granted, not the best beer) San Miguel. Snorkeling off a buddy's boat in Bahia Chamela in February, sipping a newly invented fruity rum drink (La Sarita made with Baraima Spiced Ron) while watching a humpback breach close to shore. Eating raindeer in Stavanger, wild boar in Toscana, grilled sea bass in Turkey or mixed grill in Doha. How can one choose?
The current best is aboard my trimaran Strider in British Columbia's Desolation Sound area. Summertime water temperature is in the 70s, nearly 80 in some areas. Fantastic swimming in the salt water and fresh water lakes and streams. Fishing and shrimping are good. A summertime vacation like when I was a kid.
To drink? I like Belgian style ales, Blue Moon or Fat Tire for instance (BC beers suck). Also carry a cask of white wine, usually pinot grigio (nice thirst quencher). A few bottles of something like 7 Deadly Zins (steak), and/or Maryhill Viongier (seafood) and prosecco (antipasto).
But all sailboats need rum. Pusser's and Flor di Cana 12yr are currently preferred.

I hate these games. Always sad to see them go. Thanks Seth for putting it in perspective.
|25 weeks 2 days ago||No rule||
A pitcher can pitch everygame. She can be relieved and then even come back in. If relieved a second time, she is done for the game.
Apparently, there is less wear and tear on a softball pitcher's shoulder than baseball.

Some interesting observations by the reporter. Accurate, at least in a small sample. I'm curious, if it is true there is a developing warrior class, how long will civilians continue to be grateful? How long before the warrior class holds the civilians in contempt? How long before civilians fear the military? At what point does it reach a head?
This is fun isn't it?
Just check it out: http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-warrior-main-20150524-story.html#page=1

One of my paternal great grandfathers was in the one of the Michigan units marching into DC and then on to Gettysburg.
A maternal great grandfather, a recent German immigrant, was in the 4th, was at Chicamauga and was one of 8 people who captured Jeff Davis.

|29 weeks 18 hours ago||Advice||
I know you didn't ask for any....
1. Don't sell it to the Admiral as a boat. Any pleasure vessel over 25' is, by definition, a yacht. Might be more prestige in a yacht. Kinda like difference between calling a pontoon boat a 'redneck party barge' or an 'evening chardenay cruiser.'
2. Instead of #1 above, sell it as a cottage, just one that moves. Don't like the neighbors or the view? Move!
3. Assuming you want to spend time on the hook. Do so! But every 3-5 days take the Admiral into a marina for a real shower and retail therapy. If there is a spa nearby: Bonus!
|29 weeks 2 days ago||Bigger house....||
A buddy of mine let his wife have the bigger house. He complained for years about "too much house and too little boat." A bigger house just means more stuff. Took him about 10 years to unf..k that.
|29 weeks 2 days ago||Dragonfly 1000||
It is a folding trimaran and it is kept on the water in the Salish Sea. It is a sailboat. You are probably not interested in it as it uses these large, dacron or nylon things to harness the wind to move. I've hit 15kts more than once!
|29 weeks 3 days ago||Ace||
Why is this a failure of the NFL and the Seahawks in particular and not an indictment of the legal process?
Did law enforcement and the criminal justice system fail their due dilegence? Was Clark's punishment inadequate? If so, fix the system.

Will be there.
Ranging from $250-$800. Hoped the UMAA would be able to get cheaper, but looks like they will not be good seats. Pulled the trigger.
If you are going, hotel might be tougher than tickets.
