Um, you got that from here. So, unless you Bob of the Big House Blog, I'd suggest that you provide the link and not just copy and paste the entire story. Not doing so it tantamount to stealing and is very much looked down upon on this board. Edit: Looks like bamill010 beat me to it (although our links are different they're written by the same person I believe).

"Tate and Dillon are friends, but it most likely will come down to who gets the USC job and what the NCAA does." Lane Kiffen is USC head coach, I dont know how you you missed that "7. Mike Taylor is a LB committed to Tennessee- He played in the UA game and played very well. Getting him to Michigan would be a huge last minute steal for the Wolverines. I would have him higher on the priority list if I thought Michigan had a real shot of him changing his commitment. Michigan needs Parker and Taylor the most." Mike Taylor commited to Florida yesterday **EDIT** I guess the OP just copy and pasted from someone else's blog from yesterday.

Also, we're probably not geting Grimes, Beachum, or Black (says he's 90% committed to Cinci). Baxter is seemingly a long shot, but who knows. Mike Taylor is committing to Florida soon, if he hasn't done so already.

I wish you would have updated this before you posted it. Mike Taylor is a Gator and USC has a coach. these are pretty big topics over the past few hours that you are just leaving out. other then that I really believe that we will have a nice surprise on signing day. It seems every year we get a nice signing day surprise and I dont see this year being any different. im not worried about the direction of this program.

The internet here is very slow and freezes I apologize for the inconvenience. With all the talk about the USC coaching job I figured this would change the subject a little bit

Parker, Knight, Thomas, Mehrer, and a suprise consisting of one of the following - suprise mystery recruit or flipping one of the WV commits supposedly coming to visit. Anything else is just a bit of luck on our side. And what's kind of crazt is 3 of the above listed are safeties so that gives us what like 9-10 guys in the secondary committed? Although I think if Thomas came here he'd move to LB.

Parker and Knight I doubt that we would take a flier on Thomas unless they think he could move to LB and produce. If they haven't been high on him at this point then they probably don't think he is a great fit. If we got both those guys I would rather save the ship for next years class.

If a kid (aka Grimes) thinks he can play on Sunday, why not get some experience. Its not like its subzero with snow 24/7 all year. Overdone as an issue IMHO. Should actually be looked on as a benefit.

Can we rid ourselves of this ridiculously close minded notion? You're not the only who thinks like this, but I'm responding to your comment. "Dude, the weather's going to be cold in the NFL, so man up and play in the cold in college." Hey, you're probably going to have erectile dysfunction at some point in your life. Why don't you just cut off your wiener now? When you get older, your eyesight will probably deteriorate. Why don't you stare at the sun for a few minutes each day? Kids want to ENJOY their college experiences. If he likes the warmth, don't tell him to "man up" and play in the cold. He can go wherever the hell he wants to go and we shouldn't question his toughness because he wants to wear short sleeves all year round and see college girls walk around in short shorts and belly shirts every day. And, oh by the way...who says he'll ever make it to the NFL? What if he spends four years at a cold-weather college to get ready for the NFL (since you think that's so necessary) and then he becomes an insurance salesman because he's not quite talented enough to play football? This is a dumb sentiment.

You're right on the money, Magnus. I'm not going to lie. I used to have the attitude that people should man up and deal with the cold. Until I moved to Florida. Then I moved back further north. The cold sucks. And it's not even really that cold here. I definitely understand what goes through the minds of these kids a little more now. I think a lot of people don't understand that the vast (and I mean VAST) majority of these kids from the deep south, especially the ones from Florida, have never in their lives experienced weather in the 30s, let alone snow.

This is so true. The cold straight up blows, especially when you aren't used to it. This is my first Michigan winter in two years and I am hating life right now. I suppose this makes me soft, but I would much rather be comfortable when I go outside than shiver and constantly have a sniffle.

I remember Februarys walking under the Grad Library, getting blasted by the wind tunnels around the Diag, plus standing around for the AATA or the campus bus to go to North or South Campus. That's what the recruits don't want. They would likely be fine with a little bit of cold hands on a sideline. With all these Charles Woodson articles written about his DPOY award, they all say he didn't want to go to Green Bay at first because of the snow, and he was from Ohio and went to UM. Jared Allen went to Idaho State, and still dislikes Minnesota weather. It's a fact. It shouldn't trump that UM is an NFL pipeline, playing time concerns, etc., but it's a fact of Big 10 life.

Couldn't agree more UMMAN83 - I've long lamented that the weather is used against Michigan in football recruiting. Most years we play games in beautiful weather, even scorching hot the first couple games. I've seen games in late October or early November at Michigan Stadium with gorgeous fall weather while the southeast is getting pummeled by remnants of a hurricane. Hard to turn the tide once "prevailing wisdom" sets in.

with signing day approaching and some locks not looking like locks anymore, how many of you think we will be able to fill the class? and if we don't fill it with players we are strong on, does rich rod offer players we're meh on to fill the class or save them for next year since it looks like next year will be a small class as of now?

There were snow flurries in Miami the other night, it can get cold where ever Grimes chooses to play. Grimes doesn't want to play for Michigan, good luck somewhere else. We will move on like always!!
