This is my list, there are many like it, but this one is mine.  It also may also show a glimpse into my personality.  I am a savage.

Better than a Fairley happy

Better than a Fairley happy ending.  Which of course is where Nick Fairley massages you to a full release or injuries himself trying.

So...

he should show flashes of being a great offensive perimeter player while being on a team where he is the fifth option?   The four guys a head of him are all-stars or potential all-stars.  The beauty about KCP is he pressures the ball and has some height and athleticism.  I actually think Dumars made the right move here.

Your starting 5 if you drafted Burke is

Burke, Stuckey, Smith, Drummond and Monroe.

I personally don’t like having a 6’5 Stuckey (really about 6’3) being my tall guard or a starter.

The starting 5 with KCP drafted is

Jennings, KCP, Smith, Drummond, and Monroe with Stuckey finding a role as a versatile of the bench guy.  That lineup has 3 extremely athletic defenders on it with excellent height and length.  The only real defensive weaknesses are Monroe (which is a bit overblown) and Jennings, who is going to finish the year as one of the top assists guys in the NBA.

Also the eventual test to see if Burke reaches his potential is how his style translates to the NBA.  I kept hearing draft analyst worry that Burke’s style and size put him at high risk of injury sense he creates so much contact.  Over the next 3-5 years let’s see how Burke holds up.  I hope he is a great pro, but I am pretty happy with KCP.

I agree, but...

it would all depend on two things with Dillman.

1.     I think they want to get an established passer committed to the program before they take a gamble on an athlete who has a very awkward release (not sure on arm strength).  They get a solid passer I can see them trying to pull that kid in as an athlete.

2.     How does the kid feel about the possibility of changing positions?  If he feels that he must be a quarterback, he might be disappointed if there isn’t room for him there.

I would agree that he looks like such a strong runner that you want to get that type of kid in the program and it gives you another commit from California.  Personally I would want to offer him just to make sure he doesn’t sign with Urban Meyer or Rich Rodriguez. They have a history of taking poor passers that can run and making them excellent college players.

Took me a second to figure

Took me a second to figure out what OFAAT was.  I started thinking it was a our new recruiting motto, One Freak At A Time.

From what I understand there

From what I understand there is a magical formation that uses ninjas and rainbows but no tight ends.  We could always use a variaton of this offense. The concern would be that it is basketball on grass...the positive is Michigan is getting better at Basketball!

I just wish we could find an example of this offense working at the college level, it would be cool if like 8 of the top 10 college offenses were one of these magical ninja teams.  Alas no such luck.

In my pants...want to see

In my pants...want to see him?

or their eyes are following

or their eyes are following the ball instead of the target...that one is really common when guys are trying to aim too much.

I think there was some anger

I think there was some anger from the whole F5 on the amount of money that they generated for UofM and companies like Nike.  It must have seemed so completely unfair to a group of 19/20 year old kids.  So maybe Webber does feel like UofM "owed" him something.  I'm not saying that he is right but you could make the arguement.

If it was legal what would UofM be willing to pay Webber and the Fab 5 for the exposure they received and product sales?

No....This was actually from

No....This was actually from his upcoming portrayal of ET in the new movie ET Gets Gangsta better known as ET Double G.

Extras

All of the extras are GRCC players, a couple of my former players got to be in the movie.  I've been told to watch 50's legs and you can tell when his stunt double comes in (also a GRCC player)   For what it is worth they wanted to do the moive with GVSU players but something fell through with the NCAA and they had to go to a NAIA school.

It is my understanding that the players all ragged on 50.  Turns out he was a terrible athlete, despite his appearence.

Well your avatar is a native

Well your avatar is a native american.  I would like to visit mgoblog without being reminded of the terrible injustices that were heaped on to those poor people.

I would settle for someone being able to see a joke without having to analyze it against all previous topics on this board.

Sounds good, I already have

Sounds good, I already have chosen Clemson as my alternate team when Michigan isn't playng.  (Prepping for when RR is the coach in 2 years)

I thought number 3 did a good

I thought number 3 did a good job working in the 12 idea...I still feel like the shield is the best and the only one that would atleast make us seem nearly as cool as the Pac-10.

135 on cleans...that is

135 on cleans...that is sad...HIT training does not have to be done on machines.  It is just an overload technique that goes to muscle failure.  If you ever look at the Barwis Method everything is based on your Max output.  Sets, Rep range and percent of max changes daily for 10 weeks to reach a desired result.

Gittleson had decided to use

Gittleson had decided to use more machines than free weights and few/no olympic lifts.  That is where he fell behind.  The reason why Michigan was "manhandled" is they are one of the youngest teams in D1 ball.  No matter who the trainer is it takes time to develop players.

I have no problem with Buddy

I have no problem with Buddy Morris.  He is another guy who really develops a complete player.  I like some of Barwis's splits better but they are similar programs. I have seen the prehab work that they do in the offseason and for the most part it is just basic rehab exercises that they would do at any clinic...not sure how they could not help with injury prevention...unless they have changed some things in the last year.

In an 8 month period my players do 3 months of Barwis offseason training (1 Week Testing, 2 Weeks Size, 8 Weeks Max Strength,1 Week Testing) 10 Weeks of an adjusted Westside Barbell program (1 Week Prep, 8 weeks power, 1 Week Testing) Finished with a 10 week Strength/Cardio Training before the season begins (Alternating weekly between Strength and cardio  workouts)

The next 4 Months is in season training...Lift Heavy 2 days a week with prehab and Functional.

As a coach we don't just use Barwis Methods but it is a staple of our program...I again believe that there are many great trainers out there who do can do amazing things at the D1 level.  Barwis is just damn good.

I have had this argument way

I have had this argument way too many times.  I attend 3 or 4 S+C clinics each year.  I am have been around the midwest and the south looking for "new and improved" techniques in building athletes and the Barwis was by far the most complete trainer I have seen.

He breaks down every area to the science, balance, core, explosion, injury prevention, strength, speed and so on.  Also his staff was impressive...his underboss was the strength coach for the Ravens...He did a great job.  I am not saying that the next S+C guy will not do a good job...I am saying Barwis is an industry leader, not just another name in the pack.

I'll take 18 of them.

I'll take 18 of them.

It's all in the hips...It's

Lol...thank you.

I will now go drink a glass of scotch in your honor even though I think it taste like wood chips and asshole.

From now on we need to refer

From now on we need to refer to this as the GRCC offense.

I do think it is a good offense to run as a change up.  It puts a lot of stress on the secondary to come up for run support and still remain pass sound.  We already run some Veer concepts in the current offense and in someways I think Pistol formaton is harder for a defense to setup zone pressures against than traditional Offset spread formation is.

I agree but besides Black and

I agree but besides Black and maybe Ash our defensive line looks to be pretty weak.  I can't know for sure but that has been the feeling since that class came in.  Also I was joking in case you missed that.

I

I Know...

...it was.

I have read that he is a good

I have read that he is a good recruiter but that came from former players.

Dude, I personally have enjoyed your rants the last week or so.  I am a spread guy and a RR guy and have felt pretty shitty the whole way this thing has gone down.  I think a few too many people have the "Hoke" colored glasses on and can't see how much better of a position we would be in currently with RR still in the fold.

I do think GM is a great hire but I still have reservations at our staffs age and our new offense...but all we can do is hope for the best.

Also I am finding NAIA team to root for to help pass the time durring the transition period.

I agree with that but running

I agree with that but running you scheme correctly and being gap sound will cut down on the big plays that killed Michigan all year...not being able to tackle is one thing but there were plenty of times when we just weren't in position to make a play.

ohh now I

ohh now I see...

...makes perfect sense...

... really.

I thought he was saying Gay

I thought he was saying Gay Male

like in those personal ads

GM seeking BBBM for S&M and possibly RP.

He may be thinking that if we

He may be thinking that if we add Frost that it will take a defensive position and open things up for Lucien to come back on offense...it makes zero sense...since Lucien would be a DB and Frost a LB but I'll go with it on this ULTRA positive Wednesday.

Confirmed?

Confirmed? Confirmed?....NOTHING IS CONFIRMED TILL WE DECIDED IT IS.

Or until he signs

I think going to a 4-3 could

I think going to a 4-3 could be just what the doctor ordered for us.  Roh and Van at the ends, Martin and the corpse of Will Campbell at the tackles...could be a nice mix.

I think the hybrid guys could be helped by being in a more defined position.  The problem is some of them need to drop weight and get faster and others need to gain weight and become true linebackers.  I think it is possible but gaining weight and learning to play a position fast takes a time...we may see this pay off in two years with the hybrid guys (the problem is in two years we will have 0 D-line players and will be forced to run the first 0-6-5)

Bird in hand?  How about it's

Bird in hand?  How about it's not the size that counts but how you use it.

It makes me sad the state of our educational system.

Edit: I'm an asshole

I'm suprised they don't coach

I'm suprised they don't coach at tOSU...they seem to know thier way around a horseshoe.

If he goes blue...we know

If he goes blue...we know ESPN was right.  If not we know Rivals and Scout were right...either way Michigan can't lose.

Skip, you remind me of

Skip, you remind me of something.

One of my former players

One of my former players played for coach Annesse at GRCC the last two years.  He said that the man's greatest talent was being able to "collect a group of low-lifes and scum bags and getting them to buy in and play like a team".

Because of this I am declaring that coach Annesse will be the head coach of tOSU in 5 years.  Book It.

We will never learn.

We will never learn.  Our hearts out weigh our heads.

If I was Denard I would

If I was Denard I would respond with a video of him in the zone read and running for over 1500 and passing over 2000. Then explain to Brady Hoke that 2 spread zone read teams just played in the NC game and that their defenses worked fine. I would then show him a film of Miss St. and their defense destroying Michigan with Zone Read offense on the sidelines. I would follow with an offer of RR's offensive playbook as a peace offering and hope he made the right call as the new coach.

June Jones has actually been

June Jones has actually been really good...it isn't him but a pretty good coach.

Someone ask for me?

Someone ask for me?

Would it be possible to just

Would it be possible to just let Les stay at LSU and us take Bo?  I mean when dealing with rageaholic or slime, I take Rage every time.

I'm starting to write in sing song...must ....stop....drinking.

I support him too.

Bob Ryan

I support him too.

Bob Ryan will now ask you a question.

What if I told you that you would lose for 2 years, go 7-6 one year and then become a national powerhouse...now would that be something you might be interested in?

So what your saying

So what your saying is

Taters Not Gonna Tate?

WTF HAPPENS IF SOMEONE POST A " HATERS GONNA HATE"

This seems like the end. No "Taters gonna tate" and thunder storms in Michigan on NYE.

I like you profitgoblue but

I like you profitgoblue but not in a gay way.  Unless that's your thing then you know...Whassup?
