Unofficial Big Ten logo contest

Unfortunately, this is non-binding, but whatever.  There are five finalists.  #4 looks familiar...

Your design's the only one there that stepped outside the box.  The others are just rehashes of the previous logo.  Personally, the "hidden number" thing never did much for me, anyway.

Our boy/girl's effort looks cooler.  I would have liked something more prominent designating the 12 teams rather than just the stars.

The N is underlined separately, this welcomes Nebraska to the Big10 and if you tilt it vertically then the underlined N becomes the number 12. Very cool.

Wish this was the real logo.

I wouldn't have thought the seperately underlined N had anything to do with Nebraska, because the entire logo is underlined.  I saw the "12" instantly, though.  It was a brilliant design.  I can't believe the company that charged the BT so much money for the current logo couldn't have thought of this.

After all, it IS what they were paid to do...

3, 4, and 5 are all better than the official one - by a long shot.  It's still amazing to me that the one they went with was really the best they could come up with.

Now, fwiw, I think many conferences have crappy logos.  SEC, ACC, Big East, WAC, Conference USA, Big 12 - they all pretty much suck.  Mountain West needs to lose the purple and they might be ok.  Pac 10, errr 12, might be the best.
