Omaba beat me to the punch on saying I wanted Trey DePriest, but my answer is slightly different than his. I want DePriest the most because: (1) we have a pressing need for talented LBs and (2) I would love to see Gholston and Lawrence Thomas totally bust at MSU. Not that i embrace negative recruiting, but lets be honest, we all know its happening at MSU and its effecting UM recruiting to an extent. I would love it if HS coaches in the state of MI were forced to tell their highly touted LB recruits to "see what happened to Gholston and Thomas at MSU. They went from 5 star recruits to bagging groceries in Lansing for 6.50 an hour." If it works against us, why shouldn't it work for us too...?

I was only operating under the logic that we're more likely to sway a recruit who grew up a Michigan fan in Ohio than poach a recruit already committed to state. If I ruled the world both DePriest and Thomas would have already committed to us. Along with a host of other top-tier talent...

followed closely by Dee Hart. Defense gets the nod on this one, especially since DePriest's other suitors seem to be Big Ten/ND, namely Ohio State. Hart's gonna be in the SEC if he doesn't come to Michigan, so he won't be able to hurt us down there. DePriest is #1 in my book. #2 is Hart.

Excellent topic, fun to think about. I'd love Christian Westerman to jump on board and lock down that left tackle spot for 3-4 years. I also like Darius Jennings, a super-fast athlete out of Maryland who would be devastating for defenses out of the backfield or in the slot. Depriest, for all the reasons other posters named above. Dee Hart, naturally. And maybe throw in DT Tim Jernigan, future Gator and a force on the inside.

Lawrence Thomas hurt, especially after Gholston last year. As we all know commitments mean nothing before signing day. If they did Shav Beaver, Kevin Newsome, Dequinta Jones and Pearlie Graves would all have wings on their helmet, and Demar would be in Gainesville. Hopefully Rod can get him in for a late visit. Would love to get Arnett, Beyer and Zettel to get some in state pride.

I for some stupid reason criticized his passing abiliy until I spent time watching videos where he actually passed a lot. Braxton Miller is going to be a great football player and QB at the next level, he is incredidibly fast and quick, almost DRob fast and has a very controlled smooth passing motion with a cannon for an arm. He is like a combo of different guys we've seen like Pat White and Troy Smith but is more explosive as a runner. I just hope OSU doesn't land him, and we will probably take one QB this class so getting him would make my...year? Others 2) DePriest which is obviously a needed position. 3) Christian Westerman 4) DeAnthony Arnett a.k.a. Mario Manningham II 5) Anyone from Glenville
