RB Eric Gray to commit this weekend
Listening to yesterday’s WTKA right now and Sam said there was a recruit who told him he was going to announce during the week and then backed off to give himself more time.
With this announcement I’m guessing that’s probably Gray. If it is, nice job by the staff of closing.

With Charbonnet's somewhat unexpected commitment, it wouldn't surprise me if that's what prompted Gray to think about things a bit longer. I bet there are plenty of other programs promising Gray he'll be their feature RB if he commits to them.
That's not exactly right. Sam said the recruit wanted to commit but had to hold off because the staff wouldn't take his commitment. There wasn't room for him, which makes me think it was probably a lower rated guy.
You're too kind with "not exactly right" because then I'm totally wrong and was just looking for another reason Gray is picking the good guys.

It's amazing the difference a week makes in terms of feelings about recruiting. The fact there has been some radio silence by a, ugh, more vocal side of recruiting is the most telling sign.

Gray looks fast and seems to have good hands from his highlights. With that impressive of an offer sheet, I wonder if Michigan has any plans other than just back.

Q. Johnson had already announced he was going to commit while at the Opening and now I see that David Ojabo is going to commit Monday.
David Ojabo is committing Monday afternoon and his CBs have been coming in for Michigan too.

Good film. Nothing too flashy, just gains yards. Can catch the ball. I thought Charbonnet's film looked better.
The two combined for more than 5600 yards from scrimmage and 72 touchdowns as juniors according to their 247 stats. That's batshit.
