So with the rushing running of students coming from out of nowhere it seemed...How many players test positive after this mayhem on the field? #Seasonruined?

"And folks still want Harbaugh:

Not too fucking many do.  At least on this blog, on Twitter and everyone I talk to want him gone yesterday.  Can you show me where you're seeing this groundswell of Harbaugh-love cause I'm not seeing it at all.

I've seen people post, correctly, that there's no guarantee we'll get a better coach.  But that's it.

Well, I always say that once you decide your coach isn't working out, then you have to make a change.  Trying to find an 'equitable' hire, or anyone with similar qualifications, is fools gold.  You already have a coach that isn't working - any hire is only a chance that it will work, regardless of qualification.  There is no perfect candidate, everyone has flaws and strengths, and they're all different.  Choose the guy you think best fits your situation, and don't look back unless/until he proves he's not working.

You already have team that isn't working, a failed candidate won't change that.

Normally all for storming the field. Can't imagine why their students thought that was a good idea even in the moment.

Clemson wasn't at 100% because of COVID, so your response to beating them is to risk hampering your own team the same way now that they've established themselves as a front runner?

Think you just give more shits than an excited college co-ed. Living in the moment has it's upside. They may regret it if this turns into their team missing games, but they'll also have this euphoria to carry with them forever.

Lord knows I'd love to be dealing with the rush the field/don't rush the field dilemma, but alas, I've tied my wagon to Michigan.

Cheers

Reading that all students were tested earlier in the week, with positives and their contacts sequestered. Also, that Brian Kelly warned them during walkthroughs that students would likely storm with a win and instructed them to get to the tunnel ASAP to avoid the rush.

Not saying it won’t happen, but I think the risk is lower than one might think when looking at that crowd.

I don't think it is a big deal. These college kids probably already had COVID or they are more likely to get it at their parties on the Weekend. Hope they stay away from the older relatives until a vaccine is distributed.

So I have a question.  Is rushing the field in excitement over winning a football game more or less dangerous than rushing the street in excitement over your candidate winning an election?  How about rushing the streets in anger to protest something?  Or rushing the streets to celebrate your city winning an NBA or MLB title?

There have been a LOT incidents lately where large crowds have gathered for one reason or the other.  This is just another one.

Fluid dynamics is a difficult subject.

They weren't celebrating in a tight indoor space. Sure, some transmission could've happened, but the odds aren't great.

I spend a great deal of time around Catholics. The majority lean right as single issue Republicans. They have adopted the COVID is fake news mentality. These same people are the ones minimizing the health department and CDC guidelines. This isn’t their first reckless self serving decision.

The election’s over.  It doesn’t matter.  The media finger pointing frenzy is magically over.  This isn’t even being treated as front-page news.

If this happened two weeks ago I think there’d be a lot of talk about ND’s season being over.
