Wouldn't it be nice to celebrate a win like that at Michigan Stadium though? A win over a favored #1 ranked team? Or, hey, Ohio State? That sight just made me jealous.
November 8th, 2020 at 3:38 AM ^
Not during a global viral pandemic. Would hope we would not be a bunch of idiots like that.
November 8th, 2020 at 12:36 PM ^
You mean a pandemic where the student population is within the lowest likely to receive serious forms of the virus that has a less-than-3 percent mortality rate?
November 9th, 2020 at 8:23 PM ^
So all of the officials, coaches, reporters on the field were 18-22 too?
November 8th, 2020 at 8:10 AM ^
Have to say that the sight made me a little envious, also. And, at the same time, I thought about what a super spreader that field storm may become. Like it, or not, C-19 is spiking again, so it's a real possibility.
November 8th, 2020 at 4:35 PM ^
did you think about that with all of the Biden celebrations too?
November 9th, 2020 at 8:25 PM ^
Yes. At least at all of the Biden celebrations 99% of the people are wearing masks.
November 7th, 2020 at 11:52 PM ^
great game... and then that just happened.
November 7th, 2020 at 11:53 PM ^
Karens suck the joy out of everything.
That was a great game. I hope M will win a game like that again... some day...
November 7th, 2020 at 11:55 PM ^
Beating nd last year was glorious.
November 8th, 2020 at 12:08 AM ^
Thank you for bringing me a moment of joy in these dark times...
November 7th, 2020 at 11:55 PM ^
they just beat the number 1 team; broke a long reg season win streak
we just lost to ……. indiana
and the team we lost to last week got beat 49-7
and folks still want harbaugh
November 8th, 2020 at 7:11 AM ^
"And folks still want Harbaugh:
Not too fucking many do. At least on this blog, on Twitter and everyone I talk to want him gone yesterday. Can you show me where you're seeing this groundswell of Harbaugh-love cause I'm not seeing it at all.
I've seen people post, correctly, that there's no guarantee we'll get a better coach. But that's it.
November 8th, 2020 at 7:41 AM ^
"I've seen people post, correctly, that there's no guarantee we'll get a better coach."
Well, I always say that once you decide your coach isn't working out, then you have to make a change. Trying to find an 'equitable' hire, or anyone with similar qualifications, is fools gold. You already have a coach that isn't working - any hire is only a chance that it will work, regardless of qualification. There is no perfect candidate, everyone has flaws and strengths, and they're all different. Choose the guy you think best fits your situation, and don't look back unless/until he proves he's not working.
You already have team that isn't working, a failed candidate won't change that.
November 8th, 2020 at 12:57 PM ^
So many pathetic excuse makers. Time’s up.
November 8th, 2020 at 8:11 AM ^
The only folks that still want harbaugh have the last name of harbaugh.
November 8th, 2020 at 12:00 AM ^
If I’m a ND fan, I’m screaming at my tv to get them off the field. I will be stunned if this doesn’t result in an outbreak.

One shining, er, wheezing moment.
November 8th, 2020 at 12:12 AM ^
The real losers here are the poor bastards who took Clemson at -15.5 before the Trevor Lawrence COVID news was released.
November 8th, 2020 at 7:26 AM ^
The guys that bet yesterday's line (Clemson -5.5) lost just as much money...
November 8th, 2020 at 12:14 AM ^
Normally all for storming the field. Can't imagine why their students thought that was a good idea even in the moment.
Clemson wasn't at 100% because of COVID, so your response to beating them is to risk hampering your own team the same way now that they've established themselves as a front runner?
November 8th, 2020 at 12:36 AM ^
Think you just give more shits than an excited college co-ed. Living in the moment has it's upside. They may regret it if this turns into their team missing games, but they'll also have this euphoria to carry with them forever.
Lord knows I'd love to be dealing with the rush the field/don't rush the field dilemma, but alas, I've tied my wagon to Michigan.
Cheers
November 8th, 2020 at 12:38 AM ^
Reading that all students were tested earlier in the week, with positives and their contacts sequestered. Also, that Brian Kelly warned them during walkthroughs that students would likely storm with a win and instructed them to get to the tunnel ASAP to avoid the rush.
Not saying it won’t happen, but I think the risk is lower than one might think when looking at that crowd.
November 8th, 2020 at 3:31 AM ^
A coach that can game plan all the way down to the team knowing what to expect post victory? Must be nice. Sigh...
November 8th, 2020 at 12:42 AM ^
They were all eating when they rushed the field so no mask needed.
Anyone needing some comfort in remembering our ass whooping on ND last year can enjoy last year’s Chris Fowler Nightcap Recap here: Such a delight to watch.
November 8th, 2020 at 12:46 AM ^
I don't think it is a big deal. These college kids probably already had COVID or they are more likely to get it at their parties on the Weekend. Hope they stay away from the older relatives until a vaccine is distributed.
November 8th, 2020 at 1:02 AM ^
Wear a mask. And move on
November 8th, 2020 at 6:42 AM ^
If you are scared, go to online church
Im rushing the field
But my team sucks, so im safe
November 8th, 2020 at 7:19 AM ^
So I have a question. Is rushing the field in excitement over winning a football game more or less dangerous than rushing the street in excitement over your candidate winning an election? How about rushing the streets in anger to protest something? Or rushing the streets to celebrate your city winning an NBA or MLB title?
There have been a LOT incidents lately where large crowds have gathered for one reason or the other. This is just another one.
November 8th, 2020 at 8:32 AM ^
You're not hand wringing or virtue signaling correctly. Stop it right now.
We simply must be scared shitless. It is imperative.
November 8th, 2020 at 7:41 AM ^
Fluid dynamics is a difficult subject.
They weren't celebrating in a tight indoor space. Sure, some transmission could've happened, but the odds aren't great.
November 8th, 2020 at 8:10 AM ^
I spend a great deal of time around Catholics. The majority lean right as single issue Republicans. They have adopted the COVID is fake news mentality. These same people are the ones minimizing the health department and CDC guidelines. This isn’t their first reckless self serving decision.
November 8th, 2020 at 9:16 AM ^
Spotted the bigot.
November 8th, 2020 at 10:35 AM ^
I just lost 10 fucking IQ points; and after years of whiskey abuse; I don't have a lot to spare.
thanks for making the asshole post of the week.
November 8th, 2020 at 10:43 AM ^
You are flat out wrong about Catholics thinking Covid is fake news. Most Catholics are very educated and are fully capable of integrating faith and science. Talk about self-serving....
November 8th, 2020 at 8:33 AM ^
I sure was envious of ND last night. They looked physical, could execute blocks, held up against the run, and had very good QB play. How did we beat this team so readily last year?
November 8th, 2020 at 9:12 AM ^
No worries- I think that they were also chanting all hail Biden-Harris, so that should convey immunity from Covid.
November 8th, 2020 at 9:25 AM ^
We've rounded the corner and they were just meeting the virus head on. Plus college kids don't get sick. This is all fake and part of a plot to hide a certain laptop from a certain somebody.
November 8th, 2020 at 10:21 AM ^
Like everybody freaking out over Justin Turner returning to the field, I would guess this one just disappears into the mist too.
November 8th, 2020 at 4:59 PM ^
The election’s over. It doesn’t matter. The media finger pointing frenzy is magically over. This isn’t even being treated as front-page news.
If this happened two weeks ago I think there’d be a lot of talk about ND’s season being over.
November 8th, 2020 at 9:29 PM ^
It's easy to point fingers and cast judgment on others.
