After NBCSports bought ProFootballTalk, they seem to have tried to recreate the same type of site for other major sports. Their college football guy was a huge Michigan hater for a while (referring to RR as DickRod) but I think they have different writers now. For all its flaws, I really like PFT and think none of the other sites, including the college football one, are nearly on the same level.

These are win-wins for Harbaugh...

Either he adds a player, increases competition, and comes out with a better starter

Or

A kid leaves because he didn't want more competition, and Harbaugh is able to get rid of the noncompetitors.

If we have scholarships there's literally no downside to taking transfers.

Would Moncrief have to sit out a season? If we are going by the original article it said 2 former 4* players with the DB having to sit out a season and a front 7 player who could play immediately, and would contend right away for playing time. Going off that it would have to be Moncrief and Cassanova McKinzy right?

This is just like the Josh Furman deal. Countess is going to a school with a better scheme for his playing style. Much like Josh Furman did. And then everyone couldn't believe how good Furman was. Playing in a scheme that fits you can you really do a lot for you. Especially when a guy has goals to play in the NFL.

By looking at Auburns roster .... Cassanova McKinzy is the only front seven player on the roster who is a four star and would be immediately eligible to play

Eh. Just because a school isn't Michigan doesn't mean it's bad.

"Auburn has traditionally been rated highly by academic ranking services, and has been listed as one of the top 50 public universities for 20 consecutive years." (Wikipedia, natch) If I had a family in Alabama and didn't have money to blow to send kids out of state to somewhere prestigious, that sounds like a fine choice.

of the potential of an incoming transfer or two, but seeing the initials 'DB' is always a bit stressful.  It carries such negative connotations; maybe over time I can deprogram myself and no longer have that initial urge to heave.
