Over/Under Tom Brady throwing 3 TD's tonight

Submitted by KingsWolverine on

I say he goes over, the Patriots offense is unstoppable right now.  It's been nice to see all the Michigan alum play today (no nfl sunday ticket so I'm limited.) Also, will Charles Woodson get thrown at very much? I doubt it! Not sure who to cheer for, so I'm just cheering for former Michigan players as I usually do.  Go Blue!

I like this post because of what we don't know (how often is that the case?  I'll refrain from diving off into continental epistemology for now), and the reaction to said limitation.

Primarily, we (including TarHeel) don't know whether Maizedout deliberately misspelled “defensive” (and if so, whether this was a bit of socratic irony) or otherwise.  Notably, TarHeel assumes that it is deliberate.  This is a gratuitous construction, and the proper one for that matter insofar as it leads to a tremendous observation, which of course, if properly done, is a cornerstone of comedy.

It's what we do when we don't have all the facts that often determines the merits of an idea or a course of action.  Here, TarHeel had two options: (1) criticize without all the facts, or (2) be creative and take the former poster's alleged socratic irony and wit a step further.  It rings of umich87 to me.

Assuming the best - cheers to both of you.  Otherwise – hell, I almost got a kick out of writing this bullshit.

I say "under" and only because Green Bay is unlikely to score enough points to make Tom Terrific throw the ball much tonight.

I mean let's face it.  If the LIONS can hold GB minus Rogers to 3 points I think New England ought to be able to control them.  Somehow.

EDIT - this game is reason #1 I no longer bet on football.  Makes ZERO sense that GB would somehow find their offensive mojo against a New England absolutely pulverizing everthing in their path over the past month or so.  And yet they do.

It's not a coincidence that Woodson is on the #1 defense in the NFL and Brady is on the #1 offense. Just saying

Can I bet on the push??? I am thinking an even 3.

On a side not I love getting two watch my two favorite and most presently succesful Michigan football alums play against each other.

Roger Goodell is full of donkey shit.

"An 18 game season promotes safety."

Matt Flynn looks like Matt Damon. Except brown hair.

The thing about Woodson is - He is still the best CB in the league and he can still play WR and KR/PR too.

Ryan Leaf - I believe he is in Jail.

Peyton Manning - Yea, he is good but not as good as Woodson

Randy Moss - Umm...He plays when he wants too.

There is a reason that Charles Woodson will be always be the best!! GO BLUE!!
