OTish - Class of 2032 recruit

Submitted by wolverinenyc on
Hey all! He's one to watch for the class of 2032! Jett Xavier Layden arrived on February 24th just before 11pm and is already on record as having michigan as his dream school. At 22" and 9 lbs 8oz has the size to play early at the next level! Has big hands to go along with strong legs and could be a good between the tackles back but of course will have to work on pad level strength and technique. Definitely a raw prospect with plenty of potential with a name that should excite the wolverine faithful!

His mom and dad are resting comfortably waiting to take him home.

Is he like a Jet but faster? Does he run out of fuel easily? Can he go between guys legs? What is his 4o time? I say offer him. LSU just got a 14 year old kid, lets break the record.

Is his mom on board with Michigan? No more McDowell type situations or house divided abominations!

Seriously, congratulations. Welcome to the adventure. My kids are very active in sports, and you will now become a big fan of whatever teams they play on. Hopefully you won't be swayed by any NY mommy patrols paralyzed by the fear of potential concussions.

If football doesn't work out, he is definitely already a 5* candidate for NOTY. I would kill to be named "Jett Xavier," but here I am, being a plain old Mike.

Also, congrats on the kid!

A post about your new baby being a future michigan recruit. Congrats but who cares. Write back when you kid actually shows some sort of ability. Is there any bloodline of next level footballl. If not then who cares

Congrats!  Ever since I could remember, I've wanted to give my kid the middle name of "Xavier,"  however, I failed to foresee my wife's opinion on the matter as well as my kid being a girl.  So, again, congrats on the kid and the name (which is the name of kid who's gonna be pretty freakin' cool).

Congrats! According to BB's new system, I'd give this kid 5s across the board. Just tell him not to drag out his decision until NSD. This board doesn't handle drawn out recruiting decisions well

I also have to give props where props are due. Our doctor, Dr. Finazzo, is an MSU grad. He delivered my boy via c section after nearly 48 hrs of labor. My wife and son are here thanks to the effort and diligence of the doctors and nurses at Oakwood Dearborn and Dr. Finazzo so from now on I will only be hating on MSU when they play Michigan. A huge sincere thank you to all of them!

The one of the main nurses, who was great, during the majority of my wife's labor was an OSU alum (at Mott's, no less).  While we despise our rivals and their fans during games, it most certainly doesn't mean they are not still capable of being incredible human beings.  That fact unfortunately and ignorantly gets lost for some people, myself included at times.  Again, congrats!

Kind of a cool story bro here, but my son was born literally 24 hours before UTL in 2011, and my wife still let me go to the game.  It made the euphoria even more surreal having gotten zero sleep in the previous 36 or so hours once kickoff came around.

First and foremost, congratulations to the OP on the new addition to the family!

As everyone knows, the way recruiting cycles seem to go faster and the way in which classes fill up now, 2032 is almost right around the corner, so he should start seeing those pamphlets soon hopefully.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.  Has to work on pad level strength and technique?

I'm not ready to say do not want, but you've got to work on marketing this kid a little better....

In all seriousness, though, congratulations.  My son is just about to pass 5 months old.  My boy and Jett can be roomies in South Quad in 18 years.

Boys are a great adventure and looking forward to the pics. We had nine pounder babies that were each born two to three weeks early; so they would have been at least ten pounds had they gone full term. I am anticipating the letters anyday now for my three recruits.

Class of 2028, 2029 and 2031. I am hoping that two of the three will be one half of the O-Line while the other gets to be fullback or TE.

Every baby is a miracle, enjoy every moment brother.

I hate these threads. Use facebook if you want to tell someone you had offspring.

And yes I have kids. Not a kid hater just too OT. At least there is no stoopid picture of your child in Michigan gear.
