Glad to see I'm not the only middle school teacher on here. Totally agree we don't need to bully the NFL guys. If they are wrong, that means we get Harbaugh!
Get some rest and Merry Christmas everyone.

We will all know soon enough, and I am sure the players will not be saying much. This effects then way more than us. Just hoping for stability in our program. I am sure they want that also.

Huge meltdown if it does not happen. Also believe this is his one chance to be the savior of michigan. He won't or at least I hope he won't have this opportunity again.

Great moment. Austin Hatch makes me so proud of our wolverines!

This team looks really good and then really unorganized/sloppy at other times. Was hoping for a reload but looks like a rebuild. Still have confidence in this coaching staff though.

I love searchbits, but really need this to be over. Cannot. wait for Christmas and my sparty cousins telling me why he's not coming. Is it next week yet?
|2 years 24 weeks ago||Harbaugh||
Yes I have watched him coach and really been turned off by some of the things he has done. I know I am in the minority.
|2 years 24 weeks ago||Agree 100%||
I agree, and wonder what would be the perfect qualities we want in a Michigan coach?
|2 years 24 weeks ago||Let It Go||
I agree with many of you that we just need to let RR go. The CC: Rich Rodriguez post was hilarious though.
Rodriguez could coach offense with that we can all agree. However, he actually was not a nice guy and only cared about winning; not the student athletes on his teams. The one thing that seems to ring true with Hoke is that he does care about the young men on his team and turning them in to better men. However, he appears to be way over his head as the Head Coach of Michigan Football.
I got my Rodriguez information from a strength trainer at Barwis Methods who was at Michigan while Rich Rod was there. And yes I know it could have been biased.

The first clip (ESPN) was all I needed to see; a back catching the ball out of the backfield, running through tackles and away from some would be tacklers, and "falling forward."
|2 years 42 weeks ago||Wheatley||
WOW, that sure reminds me of Wheatley!
|2 years 42 weeks ago||Bama||
Great news on Ty Isaac choosing Michigan. I also agree with many others on the board that this (hopefully) is beginning to look like Bama. We need a stable of running backs, and quality ones to compete and win.

I have to say that I like looking at highlights of a young man who will be part of our football team as compared to someone who might be. He has boom or bust written all over him to be sure, but you love the potential. He can move, appears to read the plays well, and can finish. How sick are we all of watching players who will not wrap up and finish the play? I think Carlos hyde just fell forward again for more yardage!

When I first heard the Ebron pick, I was a little disappointed but also did not feel wowed by anyone who went after. The more I think about things, the more we all have to change our mindset and realize this is a new coaching staff with new play designs etc. Ebron would look great in New Orleans; and isn't that who the Lions are becoming?
As for today and beyond, I want an OLB and would love to see Van Noy drop to the Lions. Ealy sure seems like he woudl be a steal if he is there.
And for the late rounds, Jeremy Gallon anyone??
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Well said LSA||
I think we all read the blog for not only the content, but also for teh people posting. You learn, in a rather short amount of time, who has an agenda, who tends to be knowledgeable, and who is here just to make people upset.
I have never really understood the last group of people, but unfortunately they exist in every section of America and MGO is certainly not immune.
Also, totally agree that "Broke" was a very insightful and heartbreaking. I still cannot think of Sprewell without imagining him trying to sell his yacht after going broke.

A very interesting read and only solidifies what most of us have been saying for two years now. The most interesting table was teh one with teh kempom numbers and how high our worst team was in comparison to everyone else. A conference may be top heavy, with some great teams at the top, but then they really fall off. The BIg Ten does not do this. I hate to make this comparison, but we are the SEC of basketball now. We just need a team to win a championship for everyone to agree.

Mitch is a huge lynch pin in this whole dynamic. I may have this confused, but didn't, per NCAA rules, the early entrees have to declare or pull their names out by yesterday? So, even though he has not announced anything, does Mitch already have his decision made? If so, I have to believe Coach B already knows this.
A son with NBA pedigree is usually a great thing, and Dawkins looks like he would be a great fit. I would welcome whomever the mIchigan coaches decide to bring on because they have proven they know what they are doing.
Do I think we need another big man? Absolutely! However, our coaches are way smarter than me and I trust them fully.
Also, is this a sign that we are out of the Eron Harris sweepstakes?
I sure would love a Hello post this weekend though!

A great read, and I found this part very hopeful/exciting:
The Crimson Tide easily overwhelm the Aggies behind the tight end/H-back combo block, while they also flawlessly respond to the Aggies throwing a middle linebacker blitz at them. It's just inside zone for the line.

Boys are a great adventure and looking forward to the pics. We had nine pounder babies that were each born two to three weeks early; so they would have been at least ten pounds had they gone full term. I am anticipating the letters anyday now for my three recruits.
Class of 2028, 2029 and 2031. I am hoping that two of the three will be one half of the O-Line while the other gets to be fullback or TE.
Every baby is a miracle, enjoy every moment brother.
|3 years 6 weeks ago||Great Post||
Great post and a great young man. Jordan Morgan has handled everything he does quietly and with class. He is a great representative of what a Michigan student athlete should look like. I also agree that Coach Beilein has brought honor to this team; from the players he recruits, to the coaches he surrounds himself with.
To be honest, I used to think Tom Izzo was a great coach and really respected what he did. That all changed when Coach Beilein entered the picture. Izzo is still a good coach, but I would want my three boys playing for Michigan because of Coach Beilein. Watching the game this year only solidified why I like our coach better.
Not to thread jack, but is Coach Beilein one of the the greatest hires and best fit at MIchigan?(Besides Bo obviously.)
|3 years 7 weeks ago||Bolivia||
Is being banhammered the new Bolivia?
Or, are you really banhammered to dwell in obscurity in a little South American town in the Northern Andes mountains where you dwell upon the once mighty empire of the Incas?
I also remember the first time I saw a warning label on a cup of coffee stating the contents may be hot. Some people really need reminders.
|3 years 7 weeks ago||Recruiting||
I can only imagine the stress these young men have to go through; and then to decommit from a place and switch has to be horrendous. Just look at the way Harris was treated with his decommitment; Drake and Damien.
I was impressed by Williams and his answers about wanting to stay close to home for family reasons. He came across as very level headed and one who does not want to belittle others and their programs. I am excited for the future at Michigan and proud of the Tradition.
|3 years 7 weeks ago||2014||
This basketball season seems really out of whack to me. Last year, the Big Ten was clearly the best conference with many future NBA draft picks. I keep hearing that this years draft class is suppossed to be the best ever, yet the results on the floor don't seem to validate it. Who should be the best team in the Nation? Is it clear?
I love that "everyone" has a chance but miss the Dynasty you can't stand see win it all. The Duke teams who eventually got run by UNLV come to mind.
|3 years 7 weeks ago||Hart||
I do wonder how Hart feels about his decision to go and become third string; what would he have been at Michigan?
Also, Treadwell clearly next commit to drop.
|3 years 7 weeks ago||Martin||
It is so sad to think of the legacy Bill Martin left at Michigan. He will forever be remembered for being on his yacht or play raquetball and not taking phone calls. So, this article should not, and most likely will not, surprise anyone.
Hoke and the Athletic Department are in a very tough spot. We all want them to say what they knew and when they knew it, but that will never happen. Furthermore, NSD will not be a time when this should be discussed. That day should be about the future of UM not the past.

Who cares? Well any time the name Tebow is mentioned you seem to get interest. So that's a start. Then take Tebow and make him look used by that evil guy who left their football program to take care of his family. Yeah, I would be upset also. Urban just does what is best for him. Furthermore, the UF faithful need something to take the heat off of their own bad football season; why not Meyer?

I told my wife I did not like Izzo that much and she wondered why, then he did his thing and she said oh.
My favorite moment was watching Nik get mugged with no call and then come back and hit the dagger three!
