OT: Will Irene result in a new mini baby boom?
like the Northeast blackout of '65?
Hope everyone is safe, the EC is getting a double whammy of earthquake and hurricane (how often has THAT happened?) but this could be one of those "silver linings" to the disaster, given that a lot of people's routine will be disrupted, time on their hands....power outages.........man and woman doing what they do best together when all else fails?

I'm so glad that exactly a week from now we will be talking about our first game.
August 27th, 2011 at 9:43 PM ^
Who are you, again?
August 27th, 2011 at 9:47 PM ^
Just why?
August 27th, 2011 at 9:48 PM ^
No, I'm pretty sure your Mom is on the pill.
August 27th, 2011 at 9:53 PM ^
Oh Snap!!!!

That's why his mom called and said it was a "no-go" on liftoff.....

Lol haaayyyyyyooooo
August 27th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
To bad she can't take a retroactive pill...

"to bad"
<br>From whom?
August 27th, 2011 at 9:50 PM ^
August 27th, 2011 at 9:51 PM ^
Hopefully not. There's 6 billion + of us walking around. And that's too many. Way too many.
I like the topic.
Don't care much for your conclusion though. But, hell, I'll upvote because you're getting downvoted like fuck. My upvote won't do anything for you though.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:09 PM ^
but thanks for the +
Guess '65 is too far back for most to see the connection.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:27 PM ^
WTF. You are attempting to draw a connection with something that happened in 1965. Most here were not alive and/or don't give a shit. They don't care about any "connection." And there's no reason they should.
You make a claim about the silver lining of this hurricane (hurriquake?) being more human beings walking this planet. . . .
I don't think you're an idiot, but your posts makes you look like one. Think.
August 27th, 2011 at 11:24 PM ^
I'll admit that this board doesn't tolerate much when it comes to fans of other teams, but this is just stupid. It's so bad that it tricks people into thinking it's an article from The Onion.

I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.

How about we shorten this one? We can just type this:

August 27th, 2011 at 11:52 PM ^
+1, and do you think its TOO MUCH for a shirt?
August 28th, 2011 at 12:10 AM ^
TROT, IT, I, A, ROT, AS, AM, MY, MAIN, TORT, IN, MA, TO, OR, OIL
Honorable mention: JIAGS. It looks like DIAG.
August 27th, 2011 at 9:53 PM ^
It's a category 1 hurricane. Shit is weak.
August 27th, 2011 at 11:16 PM ^
It was incredibly weak. I went for a couple of walks, did some gardening. The power flickered once . . . Closer to OBX and the Sound it was a little more serious but still nothing crazy. I have to drive out there tomorrow to see if anything happened to the cottage but I'm not anticipating anything.
Went out to a bar to watch the Lions/Pats, but the local stations here were all covering Irene and it was unavailable on DirectTV as well. Of course my hyper-inflated sports fandom accredited the overblown coverage to a shameless page hits and TV ratings grab. While I'm sure that there was some damage, they had the news guys standing at the edge of the Atlantic talking about the storm.
What really smacked of hypocrisy though, was the fact that they were talking about the people who were out in the storm as if they were idiots. One "on the scene" guy actually called a group of people idiots, even though they were in a car, and he was out in the open. All they were doing was sitting in their vehicle. This hurricane was a huge media event only for the fact that it was going to hit the 85/95 corridor.
I think I'm ranting now so I'll stop.
August 27th, 2011 at 9:54 PM ^
Wow. That is all.
August 27th, 2011 at 9:56 PM ^
Pretty sure the silver lining is that the east coast gets pounded.
Hoping no one gets hurt... but seriously fuck the east coast. (is there an acronym to infer comedic intent?)
August 27th, 2011 at 10:10 PM ^
I saw the word "pounded" and said "well played, sir"
Then I read the second sentence, and really? I think the acronym is DOUCHE
August 27th, 2011 at 10:43 PM ^
I was also hoping to hear more about the OP's mom getting pounded.
August 27th, 2011 at 11:03 PM ^
I'll have a UFR up later this week.
August 28th, 2011 at 12:20 AM ^
Amen to that
August 27th, 2011 at 10:13 PM ^
EDIT: not working, fuck it, however I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:22 PM ^
Underrated.
I don't know why, but it is.
It's borrowed, but so blatantly and so furiously that I can't help but to admire it.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:33 PM ^
Almost as blatantly and furiously like how Hoke has changed the tide of the rivalry?
August 27th, 2011 at 10:40 PM ^
Don't use up all the "fuck you" money you earned coming up with "CC" last fall. That is, if I recall correctly.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:46 PM ^
August 27th, 2011 at 10:51 PM ^
Well played. Strikes me as what I'd have said. Which is of course good.
August 27th, 2011 at 11:09 PM ^
Although a lot of magic happens here, if Omameh reads this site I'm sure he'd agree, I only contribute a little to it. My biggest contribution would be if I could create a time machine to take us to next Saturday. Until then I'll continue to post my bad photoshops and internet pictures to please the MGoCommunity, while contributing very little useful information that is mostly opinion based.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:09 PM ^
Wow man wow...Very suspicious thoughts, let alone devoting a post on saturday night to this?
August 27th, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^

I would just like to point out that this dude's obviously a Nebraska fan, which means at some point he has lived in Nebraska. I know from my own experience from living in Nebraska that often times on a Saturday night all their is to do is imagine other people having sex.

I recently upgraded to HD and after seeing Leslie VIsser tonight on the Lions broadcast have gotten my share of birth control for the next couple weeks. Here's hoping that Erin Andrews in A2 looks much better under the HD lense or I am going to ask Directv for my money back.
