OT: What is your preferred web browser and why? (PC)
Depends on what you're doing to have "no issues at all, ever."
I work for a large company and there still are plenty of issues with Macs integrating with everything else we have from an IT perspective.
Then you have to get stuff that works with Macs.
You say that as if it's a small, insignificant endeavor.
And its payment system managers, not that they listen for jack squat. Because USPTO doesn't interface well with Macs. If you produce creative content, fine, use Macs. The business and technical world overwhelmingly utilize PC for better else for worse. And it's not all worse.
your mom
it depends on what you're doing.
In certain industries (graphic design, film, photography), a Mac is an absolute standard for stability.
But then it gains status for it's creative suite and options, and is purchased by students (primarily) just as a status symbol, but only used for checking e-mail, typing papers, and looking at the internet.
In that use-case, it's a total waste.
The amount of students I walk by using a $1200-$2500 mac for those basic tasks and nothing more, is just plain goofy.
Yes the color on the screens are pretty nice, the build quality and the overall design is pleasing, but it still absolutely remains a status thing amongst students.

It's either the character from Super Mario Kart or that guy from Sha Na Na.
Wait, what?
Chrome and Firefox from Comodo.
Supposedly Chrome has a lot ot tracking software included, which has been eliminated in Dragon.
There is also Cyberfox, a Firefox spinoff.
Best to take each for a test drive and decide from there.
Sorry, double post.
I use Chrome on my Macbook Pro. Formerly I was a huge Firefox fan but over the last few years it became sluggish and slow for me so I switched to Chrome. I really love Chrome, being able to sync all my Google stuff and its a very clean looking browser. Can't recommend it enough.
Even though it gives my remote access for work fits, I am a fan of Chrome because it integrates well with just about everything else I use and you can customize your experience in a way that you can't with, say, Internet Explorer. That, and aside from a few quirks that require the deletion / recreation of a certain file or two, I've never had an issue with it.
Microsoft Edge.
Gotta love getting those bing rewards points just for browsing.
There is no right answer. The only wrong answer is Microsoft Edge/Internet Explorer unless your environment requires it. (Hospitals/Banks/etc..)
Whether you are using Opera, Firefox, Chrome, Waterfox, etc... make sure you use uBlock.
- I would also recommend Privacy Badger, HTTPS Everywhere, and (for fun), MagicActions Youtube Extension! (Website is called ChromeActions, but available for Opera and Firefox as well. https://chromeactions.com)
- Lot of good extensions out there to keep you safe.
- - Here is a good reddit thread on the discussion.

I'm a tab hoarder, I keep stuff up for months on end and flip around so Firefox and Chrome are the two I've found keep my tabs on restarts (all claim to) consistently. I think Chrome is faster but both work for me.
I just don't know how anyone uses IE - maybe I don't update it enough but I feel like with 5 tabs open it begins to slow down. Heck I *might* have 200+ tabs open on my other browsers and they always work fine.
Never heard of the Dragon stuff but I'm old.

I hope you're using the Great Suspender.
OK, Braylon1, we know you're just one of the HUEL guys working on the MGoBlog revamp, you forgot your boss' assignment to look into browsers favored by this site's users, and you figured we would save you. Do your own homework.
Chrome because it works, and because I believe at this point in time it is the future.
Chrome.
The only gripe I hear about it is how greedy it is with resources but I'll trade that every day and twice on Sunday for the layer of security it provides between my browser and OS.
Plus, I just counted and currently have 43 tabs open and my PC is running fine/compiling code just as fast as always. Memory is cheap, man. Go upgrade.
It's the most stable across all platforms and does a great job of syncing up bookmarks and settings across all my devices. I use it daily on a Desktop PC, MacBook Pro, iPhone 7, and iPAD and it is seamless.

Why do you still use Windows 8?
Neoplant and jiffybar.... well.... not really, I used to love using Chrome but over time it has become more of a resource hog. And my computer isn't getting any newer so I switched to Firefox about a year ago after scripts and add ons started to slow down my computer. I like Firefox, I intend to go back to Chrome with the new PC i'm planning on building, since an ssd and 16GB of RAM ought run it smoothly but for a POS 2GB Ram dual core old computer my advice is to use FIrefox or something lighter.
Doesn't matter all of them are secretly run by the CIA, NSA and/or the Russians depending on you talk to - same with the Facebook thingy too.
So I send my MGoBlog posts via carrier pigeon to a guy that types it in with a throwaway unlocked Walmart phone. The notes I write for the pigeon are in a rare Cherokee dialect that only 5 people know and 3 of them are dead.
Takes me only 10 minutes to post on MGoBoard!
Not so hot for sites with a lot of graphics, but blazing speed and low overhead.
Chrome has been my go to browser for years, there isn't a faster browser. However, it has been crashing much more lately, so I decided to try out Vivaldi. If you're a tab whore like me, this is a godsend. And it's based on Chromium (as is Chrome and Opera).
