I'm sort of rooting for both teams, if that makes sense.

Brady is like Jordan. At this point in his life, rather than have a nickname, he has instead become an epithet for excellence (e.g., ____ is the Tom Brady of water polo).
WIth the Lions relevant, the Niners good, and Brady & Co. again a Super Bowl threat, this is the first year where I am more interested in NFL games than college. Never, ever did I think I would ever feel that way.

The Lions were fortunate to get him. He should be highly productive for them for years to come.Perfect compliment to Calvin.

I swear every time he catches the ball he runs for 30 more yards. Dude is the YAC King of the NFL.
November 23rd, 2014 at 1:11 PM ^
of course you do.

Brady is on fire and is at home. It's not really a criticism of the Lions so much as it is a comment on how good the Pats are playing.

The doom and gloom from you every Sunday is just a little funny sometimes.
November 23rd, 2014 at 1:34 PM ^
LOL. I'm far more caustic and cynical about the Lions than Mr. Quattro could ever hope to be. He's just reflecting reality against the Pats today.
I keep hearing Boomer Esiason put the Lions in his top five, and all I can think of is Kool-Aid.

Patriots have been my #2 team since actually before Brady, but I'm pulling for the Lions 100% without ambiguity. Apart from the fact that I just want them to win anyway...if they don't win their division, their being a wild card just makes it that much less likely the 49ers are.
Now, as far as this actually happening today...
November 23rd, 2014 at 1:27 PM ^
has made up for all the gains on the defense.
November 23rd, 2014 at 1:47 PM ^
I think a decent amount of that offensive regression is due in part to Calvin Johnson's absence. I was actually pretty impressed with what they were able to muster without him; I thought they got completely outcoached last week, however.
I don't think Lombardi is as good as Linehan, but I think the offensive numbers are a little artificially deflated at this point.

1st and goal at the 3, can't get in. 1st and 5, can't get a first down. How can an offense with this many weapons be this bad? How bad is Lombardi? Obviously bad enough that Caldwell doesn't have the balls to go for 4th and 2 at the goaline, or 4th and 3 at the 39.
November 23rd, 2014 at 2:05 PM ^
He never ought to have changed the offense so much.
November 23rd, 2014 at 2:04 PM ^
I hate kickers. Dropped Billy Cundiff after two forgettable weeks and he's got 7 already. I have the worst kicker luck in history. End needless complaining.
November 23rd, 2014 at 2:05 PM ^
not sure i get the idea of all-prevent defense all day.
November 23rd, 2014 at 2:05 PM ^
Patriots moving the ball very well against us.
November 23rd, 2014 at 2:07 PM ^
This game was alwasy going to come down to Stafford and the offense. Unfortunately, they haven't risen to the challenge.
November 23rd, 2014 at 2:09 PM ^
I thought out defense would at least challenge them a bit, and they did to start, but not so much anymore. Not sure I understand the strategy in the seconday, seems like large cushions so they can get an easy 3-7 yards each play.
November 23rd, 2014 at 2:09 PM ^
21-6 Pats. This is getting ugly.
Fire Lombardi.
