OT: Saturday Night Drinking Thread

Submitted by Cranky Dave on
What is everybody drinking tonight? I'm leaving tomorrow for 9 days so my beautiful wife and I are about to open a bottle of Ménage a Trois Merlot. Just the two of us.

Snoqualmie Avalanche Winter Ale from Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Company in Snoqualmie, Washington.  Case of 22oz bottles half off due to end of season.  This is an outstanding ale.

I am in Iowa. If you are still interested, it was West Okoboji lake with bluegills, perch, crappie and a couple northern making up my bag. Upvoted for your signature. The opening sequence to that movie is one of the best imho.

Glenlivet. MGoSophomore is home for spring break. Wife and I may hit the hot tub in a few. Trying to schedule trip back to A2 for the spring game. Reading what all my friends on MGoBlog are drinking too. Life's good. Enjoy, everyone.

the nba is "bad."

this game is incredible. both teams playing all out, so fast paced, and the shots that go in are absurd. like holy shit. almost every made shot would be the best basket of the game in a college game. these guys are too good. it's unreal to watch.

Merlot better from WA state. During a recent trip me and my wife found North Star Premier (Walla Walla, WA) for about $100.00 per bottle, Henry Earl Estates Red Mountain Merlot (Walla Walla, WA) about $40.00 per bottle, and finally Woodward Canyon Merlot (Walla Walla, WA) about $50.00 per bottle.

Merlots at a more reasonable price that are good would be Columbia Crest Horse Heaven Hills for about $18.00 per bottle. Seven Falls Merlot from Wahluke Slope, WA was great and it retails for $16.00 per bottle

Well it's Sunday afternoon, and I just enjoyed most of a bottle of Skyfall Merlot (Washington state) along with a NY Strip Steak.  And so I agree with your assessment of Washignton state Merlots.
