They're attacking nicely after that
I miss the days where the Wings would score first 95% of the time
We play better from behind anyway.
who doesn't like being behind?
We're getting good chances as well, it's only a matter of time.
Yeah, get some hits! Then get Coyotes going to the box!
Now score on the PP.
GOAL!!!!!
GOOOOOOAAAALLLLL
Now we are playin
they're flying around down there
last 10 shots on goal....
hell yea. fuck his shit up
EDIT: Yandle is a bitch
pretty dominant. 1-1 going into 2nd.
Who'da thunk it'd be Howard that put Doan into the boards?
It actually wasn't to surprising after seeing him face wash crosbitch. Hes a tough SOB.
go wings!
Boy that looked like it might have been a goal. Small break for the Wings.
Looks like we've let momentum start getting away from us a bit here. Time to get it back in gear.
Unbelievable. He clearly didn't think he had the puck. No use complaining though.
It was obviously covered for a few seconds. I was hoping they'd allow it but it was the right call.
I guess I am not up on the rules. If it's covered period are they required to blow the whistle? It looked like he had no idea where the puck was, just that he happened to be kind of on top of it without realizing it.
The rule is if the ref loses sight of the puck. In this case the ref waited a good 2 seconds before blowing the whistle. I have no complaints. It's quick whistles when it's unclear that are bad, that was a slow whistle when it was unclear: fine.
Wings got sloppy in the last 10 of that period.
That's why I asked what the rule was. Now that I know, I won't complain.
Sigh. Can't play sloppy like that, guys! Let's get that back here...
Looks like the Yotes have gotten their physicality back in this past period. However, losing Doan is huge. They can't afford to fall back and be too defensive or the wings will take advantage.
Howards rebound control is terrible. If he can freeze the puck it would be 1-0. Rebound control will cost us a stanley cup.
the last 10 minutes of that period.
C'mon boys, get it together.
These last two goals have been the product of horrible defense. You give a pro player an open path like that to shoot and they'll put it away.
getting deja vu with this team? i see them play and it reminds me of the detroit pistons of the mid 2000s. a grizzly, veteran team that seems to only play well with their backs against the wall. they seem too composed at times for their own good.
anyone get the same feeling?
This is like when we got swept in the first round by the ducks in the early 2000s
Don't play like shit in the playoffs red wings.
Fucking pathetic goaltending by Howard
I guess people don't like the truth judging by th negs. I have a bad feeling about this series now.
What is it with early whistles and Michigan hockey teams?
Eh, even if they don't blow that whistle that shouldn't have counted. Bertuzzi pushed Bryzgalov into the net.
I can understand that but the point of the matter is that as soon as the puck touched Bryzgalov he blew the whistle almost as if there was a delayed penalty and the commentators even said something to that nature but there was no penalty called.

The commentators (in a fashion typical of NBC) sounded like they had no idea what they were talking about for most of the game, so I'm not going to give their opinion any credence.
That said, I agree that it was an early whistle. However, I doubt that goal would have stood anyway.
Ugh, that was a pathetic effort for the last two periods. Did they win a battle for the puck once in those forty minutes? Except the Franzen goal? (surely a coincidence!)
still think they can win the series, but their end of year momentum is clearly gone.
Little or no effort by the Wings. Phoenix is obviously hungrier. The third line (Cleary-Helm-Miller) has been attrocious and so has Rafalski. You can survive a bad game or two but you can't survive lack of desire. Hopefully, getting knocked out in the first round (combined with a couple of off-season personnel tweaks) will restore that.
11 goals he's let in now in 3 games. Osgood if he can, might have to jump in and save the Wings again. On top of that Ottawa loses to Pittsburgh....F*CK THIS SUNDAY.
