| 25 weeks 6 days ago | RIP Teddy |
I don't post often. I knew teddy from IM sports. It took me two seasons to learn that he had CF. his heart and dedication in those sports made it unbelievable to me that he had so much drive even with this situation. CF is a bitch of a disease. One of my close friends from high school past away from it as well. |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | Closing Time |
As soon as the game ended it was cleaning and move out time. People were there cleaning Crisler til atleast 2 am. They had a cleaning crew come in to de-trash the sections and sleep them. The bathrooms were emptied and concourse concessions removed all of their stuff. Crisler is 100% closed. The players will only be practicing on courts in the William Davidison Player Development Center. They are tearing apart the concourse as well as the court. There will be a brand new court. They are breaking the court into pieces to give a piece to all previous Men's and Women's players. It is a pretty sweet gesture. All the banners that were hanging (Honored numbers, Big Ten champs, National Champs and even the Gymnastics banners have been taken down and put into storage. I've seen a good chunk of the design pictures. They look amazing. I'm really excited for all of Crisler Center to be done. In response to the question below about players practicing. The Men's team tends to practice on both. There are 10 hoops in the PDC and 8 on the main court when the bleachers are pushed in. They tend to use both at the same time. It works great having so many hoops to practice free throws. If there are any other questions, I'd be happy to help answer any I can. |

All of it is fully operational. Visitors used to be in the wrestling locker room. They are now in old men's locker room. (or old women's for women's opponents). The cheerleaders get the other locker room depending on if a men or womens game with officials in the wrestling lockerroom. Officials used to be up in the football coaches lockerroom IIRC. |

Your team just gets a huge win, and the first thing you do is go to your rivals blog to troll? I don't want to get in trouble for calling you a douche, but you're a douche. |

As a semi-insider, it is looking like Mid-October. The players are practicing on their own. I've seen all the freshman there. They are all excited to move to the new locker rooms in the PDC. The court, seats, and new scoreboard look amazing. They are working hard and I believe they are on phase 2 of 3. |

| 1 year 51 weeks ago | "Melo was consensus #2" |
Were you even alive then? Are you serious? No, Darko was THE consensus #2 to EVER team. In fact a few (like 1) had him ABOVE LBJ. Read The Book Of Basketball. Bill Simmons goes into this debate heavily. Prince was young, so we had no need for a SF. If anything i'd say we would have been more likely to take Wade. And no way we take Bosh. That'd be a HUGE reach. Also, we probably wouldn't have traded for Sheed those not won in 2004. I'll take a 'Ship and Darko any day over questions. The people who complain about Darko and say it was terrible pick, realize that at the time it wasn't. Looking back, yes it was, but every single GM in the league loved him. |

| 2 years 11 weeks ago | Renovations |
The gold seats have been completely removed. The picture, of the gold section with a few seats left, are the seats that were test seats this season. The athletic department tested multiple types of seats. Also, if you attended games you would have seen one section of stairs in the blues with different colors. That too was for testing how they held up against spills. Crisler is closing on Monday. They were able to remove the golds already because the only event left is gymnastics this weekend. Attendance for gymnastics events are similar to womens basketball game, so the gold sections are not needed. The pull out blue seats on the west side have been removed in the last few days. In fact, the hoops are, as well, taken apart and removed. The plans for the renovations are going smoothly and look great. Enjoy the update, and sorry for my poor writing skills (not an english major here). |
| 2 years 19 weeks ago | I'm that housemate! |
but yes. the other guy is an idiot and everyone has been tearing him apart. The Concordia winner is in his 3rd year and plans on going to UofM for Med School assuming he gets in (he will) so the $50,000 will really help him pay for that. He was pretty excited when it was official. Hope he realizes my birthday is coming up... |
