OT: Professional Networking Group on LinkedIn
A suggestion was made on another thread to setup a group where the MGoBlog community can go to ask career questions, solicit advice, post job openings, etc:

Since there are a lot of members of this community asking career related questions on the MGoBlog forum and it normally is squashed during the regular season it was suggested that a separate group is setup.
LinkedIn seemed to be the best place to create this type of professional network. I went ahead and created a group for this purpose.
If you are interested in joining, please search LinkedIn for the group "MGoNetworking". It's about 30 members strong since setting it up last night and already have discussions about multiple jobs openings in need of qualified candidates.
The anonymity of the blog will be maintained, so there shouldn't be any fear of losing that.
belongs in its own thread.
I was thinking it should first be a diary.
META, WAY OT, SIAP?
In the 45 minutes this thread has existed, about 60 people joined the group.
Just crossed the 100 member threshold!
And at least 25 lawyers
We are everywhere.
Like cockroaches . . . you hate to have them but you need them. Wait, do we need cockroaches? They must contribute to the ecosystem somehow, right? But I absolutely hate cockroaches (or palmetto bugs, as they are called down here). Oh I give up. Lawyers suck.
asks for your MGOBLOG password and screen name? How do you answer the inevitable interview questions, "so how many work hours a day do you spend on the blog?"
he probably already knows. In fact, he probably spends more time than you do on the site. That's the beauty of the Internet.
There are other LinkedIn Michigan Groups including Wolverine Networking if interested
There are a lot WORSE places that employees can go on the internet.
We have several Wolverines at my work, wouldn't mind adding a few more so we can pile on the Notre Dame alumns :)
