OT: Possible human remains left on Auburn's Field
So just when you think this stuff can't get much stranger...

So someone left cremated remains on the 40 yard line. There were bone fragments but they did not confirm if they were human. I am betting they were.
Yeah. Just thought I would share.

Dad just always wanted to have his ashes spread at the Iron Bowl. Can't fault him for that.

When Michigan Stadium was open during weekdays, this used to happen all the time. It's a little macabre for my taste... But to each their own.

Big deal. Michigan dumped a guy's remains on the field on Saturday, and those remains threw for 450 yards and scored 5 TDs.

I mean, people play on that field and end up on the turf a lot. Im sure they dont want to be tackled into the charred remains of your decrepit old body

what most schools use for fertilizer on their grass fields and where that fertilizer comes from right?
December 3rd, 2013 at 4:52 PM ^
Urea fertilizer is made with natural gas, not dead people.

I love the fact that some people walked out of there with ash all over their legs wondering WTF happened. I can see somebody dumping them in the middle of the sea of fans post victory.

Les Miles just lost his appetite.

I dont think it's that strange at all. I'm sure that happens way more frequently than we know, it's just ashes and not identifiable human remains like these were so we never really know.

the woman accused of killing another Bama fan because she didn't appear to be sad enough over the Tide's loss is out on $75,000 bond.

I could be wrong or misremembering this, but I thought there were some stories perhaps 5 or 6 years ago where LSU, Florida and perhaps a few other schools will actually allow people to have their remains scattered on the field or even have a brief service inside the stadium. It seems more than a little morbid to me, but apparently there are more than a few people that are this devoted to the program for which they cheer.

Brandon will let your family put your remains anywhere in the stadium you want.

there's definitely some urinals I've used on multiple occasions that I feel particularly close to...

Is it too much to ask for fans of Michigan sports to get the lyrics to The Victors correct? I heard "champions of the west" were "leaders and best" is supposed to go and a whole lot of tailing off at the end along with a "champions of the world". It isn't a difficult song. I cringe every time I hear general fans sing it because I know about 70% of the time it's going to get botched.

That seems quite high...

In the early 1990s Ron Kramer spread Bennie Oosterbaan's ashes all over the UM campus, including some on the field of Michigan Stadium, at Yost (where he played basketball) and at Fischer Stadium.

Note to self: amend will to include cremation and subsequent scattering of ashes in Michigan Stadium, preferably on one of the goal lines.
