OT- Phil Coke Blows...

...another one for the Tigers. What a long off season it's been, but this has to be the biggest head scratcher of my 15 year amateur career as an avid sports fan. I've never seen someone so bad, for so long, keep their job in an organization that is otherwise ran very successfully. I'm lost. Coke came in last night, put that first base runner on, and I turned the TV off and went to bed. He's dependable, to say the least, as we can always seem to depend on him to flush a decent game down the toilet. How is he still in the major leagues? How much longer is he going to be a Tiger? Has Ken Holland taken over the resigning of Tigers free agents as well? Someone please just help me understand. I have no more hairs to pull out of my head.

Coke's career era is 4.26--although it is a mere 5.10 the past 2 years.  These are simply terrible  numbers for any pitcher, but especially miserable for a lefty specialist, who usually faces only favorable matchups of a batter or 2.  The counter to this is:  he throws 95 mph and he has been less bad the past month.  There are better lefty options out there.  Get one--even before trying to replace Nathan.

Why do I suspect that many of the Coke defenders were also there to defend Brandon Inge.

the Tigers beat the DBacks this afternoon because Miggy knocked out a 3-run HR in the 8th for Detroit, capping a 2-out, 4-run rally that never started until 2 were out.  This gave the Tigers a 6-run lead, pretty close to a bullpen-proof lead.  Final was Tigers 11-5.

you've got video. Hell, he may be the best cocksucker in town, but unless you have proof, simply won't pay off.  But now, it seems to be much more tolerated. I remember when you had to build three houses to be considered a contractor, at least two bridges to be classified an engineer, but just suck one cock....................................
