And that's after Minnesota and Illinois both filled theirs.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:34 PM ^
And Virginia Tech
November 29th, 2015 at 2:52 PM ^
Well there wouldn't be a Memphis opening if he didn't leave to go somewhere else

That's how it works.
There wouldn't be a Toledo opening if Campbell didn't leave. What's your point?

There wouldn't be leftover Turkey if you didn't cook a big turkey on Thanksgiving.

Here we go...lol, this is so pointless, but I'm bored
- Georgia - Kirby Smart (also has my highest confidence points and DC Jeremy Pruitt to Bama)
- Maryland - Greg Schiano (total fit)
- Memphis - Doug Mecham (TCU co-OC)
- Miami - Mark Richt (second most confidence points)
- Mizzou - Butch Davis
- North Texas - Kendal Briles
- Rutgers - Mario Cristobal
- S. Carolina - swing and miss over and over...Rich Rod? Mack Brown? Dantonio? I have no idea...I'll say, fuck it, Lane Kiffin
- Syracuse - Al Golden (duh)
- Toledo - Brady Hoke (because, why not?)
- Tulane - Houston Nutt (because, why not?)
- UCF - Geoff Collins (UF DC former coach at UCF)
- ULM - Major Applewhite
- USC - Jeff Fisher
- UVA - Matt Rhule (Temple coach)
November 29th, 2015 at 1:49 PM ^
Why is Al Golden to Syracuse a duh? Golden was a defensive coordinator at Virginia at 4 years. It seems he has more connection there than Syracuse
November 29th, 2015 at 4:05 PM ^
And Temple's coaches is rumored to be headed to UVA. Golden would be a fit there, yes. But he'd fit a Maryland and Rutgers as well.

What Hermann at Houston? I thought he was linked to the South Carolina job

I think he waits until next year and looks at LSU or Texas if Miles or Strong are fired. He'll be the hottest name in the country if they can do it again next year at Houston.
November 29th, 2015 at 4:06 PM ^
he withdrew from consideration after that report came to light.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:58 PM ^
I'd think Dino Babers from Bowling Green will be garnering some serious consideration and land one of those jobs.
November 29th, 2015 at 2:06 PM ^
little bit no, a lot worried that Durkin may end up on that list...I really hope that just like he laid low for Harbaugh to be named Head Coach, he will do the same this go round.
November 29th, 2015 at 2:44 PM ^
You forgot DaCoachO.
November 29th, 2015 at 4:13 PM ^
Jeff Fisher to USC? The same guy who's coached in the NFL for 30 years? That would be somewhat shocking.
Yes, I was surprised (and ecstatic obv.) when Harbaugh came home, but he was at least a college HC for 6 years before leaving for the NFL.
November 29th, 2015 at 5:31 PM ^
Mark Richt to Maryland.

He forgot Hawaii.
2/3 non-conference opponents next year will be looking for new coaches.
UCF went 0-12 this year.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:45 PM ^
You would think a game winning kick would get more of a reaction back there.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:47 PM ^
Judging by the crowd noise...it was 50% ND fans there
November 29th, 2015 at 6:55 PM ^
It was late and I was tired. F#&$ Notre Dame. Especially after the announcers showed the four games where the won in the last minute, right after their last TD.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:06 PM ^
The number of openings this season is insane.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:22 PM ^
Last year, before Harbaugh seemed like a realistic option, I had advocated keeping Hoke one more year because the pool of candidates was lack luster. I've never been more happy to admit I was wrong. Trying to get a coach this year would be brutal.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:07 PM ^
At this rate, even Ron Zook will have multiple offers...

Somewhere Brady Hoke is clapping.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:11 PM ^
Well done!
Hoke to UVA maybe?
November 29th, 2015 at 1:18 PM ^
Don't you put that evil on us Ricky Bobby. Not a fit anyway. UVA is a culture fit school. Being polite as possible, Hoke is not a fit.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:14 PM ^
Man, he's going to get paid this year.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:08 PM ^
This is going to be so fun to follow.

Soooo glad we got Harbaugh when we did.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:08 PM ^
because of the folly of Jim Delaney.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:10 PM ^
This job has Hoke written all over it.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:12 PM ^
Why, because This Is Rutgers FerGodSakes!
November 29th, 2015 at 1:10 PM ^
not worthy of a thread but
"offensive guru" franklin is statring to 'wayne fontes' his staff
Penn State offensive coordinator John Donovan fired. James Franklin really didn't have a choice.

I'm just happy Michigan took care of their coaching issues last year instead of giving Hoke one more year...
November 29th, 2015 at 1:14 PM ^
Quick, someone calculate the amount of money spent this year on buyouts alone. Are we cracking $50 million? $100 million? Any schools in play to hire Charlie Weis and give him another awful contract?
November 29th, 2015 at 1:14 PM ^
About damn time. President Barchi is in his last year so he doesn't even care about any blow-back. Flood was the biggest joke of a coach ever and I can't believe he held down a FBS HC job this long.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:16 PM ^
Would they take him?
After UM fired Hoke, I remarked that I saw him as MAYBE a power 5 big program DL coach/associate HC, or if he wanted to be a HC again, he'd have to go to the MAC, Mountain West, etc.
But now that I think about it, if he went to UVA and won 6-7 games a year and took them bowling, they'd love him. And his competition in the ACC Coastal doesn't include Florida State and Clemson. Plus, he coached at Michigan, another public school with high academic reputations and requirements.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:18 PM ^
That would be classic
Schiano HAS to get hired by someone this cycle no?? so many openings.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:31 PM ^
He fits at Miami, UVA, Maryland, Rutgers and Syracuse...he's got to get one of the 5.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:19 PM ^
This one is no sunrise at all.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:23 PM ^
Yes you could even say that the sun has set on Flood and Hermanns tenure...
November 29th, 2015 at 1:23 PM ^
Neither of those two deserve a job in collegiate athletics.
Some are bad coaches. Not much shame in that. It happens. Others are just bad people with poor ethics.

That shit-show needs fixed. It's an embarassment to the entire league and pulls down eveyone's strength of schedule. Even Purdon't is ashamed of Rutgers. They need to hire a quality AD. The B1G better be involved to make sure they don't screw this one up.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:37 PM ^
You didn't include anyone from our staff. These guys are classic coaching mercenaries. I say there is zero chance everyone is back next year.
November 29th, 2015 at 1:42 PM ^
The big ten needs to drop five teams, I'm thinking Rutgers, Maryland, and Nebraska(?). The next two are up for debate. We add ND. No divisions, no conference championship game. Three non conference games against solid opponents will make up for the championship game. Pipe dream obviously.
