EDIT: I changed the channel I was so upset, apparently they got a extra second...
Not so fast my friend.
Yea, wow. Well I am happy, this is a great matchup. I hope none of the NC fans left the way I changed the channel.
Ha, UNC gets to kick the FG and goto OT!
Is this real life?
It's ok. We know your "OT" meant overtime.
Big Ten refs
with the exception of not calling a late hit. I wish they did this well for our games...
I think the no-call on the late hit was a good one too. That dude was pushed.
So I'll take your word for it. So basically the refs have called a great game which is fitting since they can't screw our B10 teams over... lol
He used the push as an excuse to make the hit. It should have been a late hit.
Isn't there a rule about penalties on the offense, and a clock runoff in the last minute? NFL rule?
But college doesn't have a run-off.
If my hand could move that fast, I'd never leave the house.
Because of a missed extra point. Incredible.
Pretty crazy. UNCs clock management was awful. The fact that it's not biting them in the ass is reminiscent of Les Miles.
Wow. That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. You get to trade yardage for time?
Ball was spiked with 1 second to go. Penalty tacked on last play.
Alright that makes more sense, I got the wrong impression from the rerun. Thanks.
Tennessee has 19 penalties for 155 yards and missed a PAT. Amazing.
And another personal foul on the Vols!
That was a risky call by NC to run the ball with so little time left, for the very reason that we saw. Seems like a sideline pass was in order there.
I say it was really, really stupid. That was a Les Miles Clock Management Special.
Penalties, clock management, missed extra point, Bob Davie...this is killing me.
So THIS is what it was like to watch the 2005 Alamo Bowl as a neutral fan.
After that run at the end of regulation I think he's being challenged for end of game management chaos...
are awful. Just end the game and spare us another boneheaded mistake.
Not very well played but entertaining as hell.
Vols score in 2 plays. Tied at 27, going to 2OT.
I could use a Gus Johnson "What a Game!" right now.
This game just gets better. Incredible catch by the Tennessee TE to tie the game. I am so glad I have no interest in either team because if this was a Michigan game I would be freaking out. (i.e. the Illinois game)
goes to a second OT.
It would have to be The Sloppy Crazy Ending Undisciplined Bowl
Time out. NC
NC Interception!! Aaaaahh!! The drama!!
Talk up the Freshman than BOOM ... interception.
has the biggest chubby for the UT QB. My God, have his baby already dude.
Freshman QBs = Doom
Looking forward to seeing Braxton Miller getting his trial-by-fire for the first 5 games of next season.
But he had Braylon and other help. I agree, its generally doom.
No redshirt! But yeah, they have enough playmakers to probably win their first 5 games anyways, even without Sanzenbacher and most of the starters on D.
there's nothing worse than a missed FG or turnover in OT. The rest is just a foregone conclusion and all the other team can do is pray for a miracle
I don't care who wins, but I did jump up and yell "yeah bitch!" after Bray gave away that pick. That kid has been acting like a tool all game long, he deserved to lose the game for his team.
Sweet! Suck on that, Vol fans.
UNC goes from blowing the game to winning the game. Bowl season its crrraaaaaazzzyyyy.
your avatar is mesmerizing
Nice win UNC, although I don't like either program.
And missed all the horrid calls that went against Syracuse and NC through 3/4 of the game.
Can you imagine being a K-State fan watching this game and seeing the Tennessee guys do a salute after every frickin play?? I think I would've smashed the tv by the 4th quarter
There should be a rule that every play must take time off the clock. The ball was snapped with one second left, so according to the replay officials' ruling, the play occurred in no time. That shouldn't be allowed.
Also, the clock isn't supposed to stop until the official signals for it to stop. That didn't happen until no time was on the clock. I can't believe no one brought that up considering we were screwed by it once upon a time.
I needed the reverse jinx on that one.
Dewey Beats Truman
for recognizing that we of merely average football minds cannot understand the coaching brilliance that surely led to LSU & UNC victories over Tenn.
Please delete this thread before my book sees it and uses it to grade my UNC play wrong.
Rather be lucky than good anyday, Phew!
I give the refs credit for making the right call, but man that was a dumb way to end a game. I figured they would run into trouble when they ran the ball at the end.
there are plenty of people up in arms about that one second being put back on the clock. Reminds me of the Big XII CG from last season.
The final seconds of regulation:
