Night win over Sparty at the big house. Never in our history have we paraded the Paul Bunyan trophy on the field, but still a nice sight anyway.
I still have my NCAA 2004 for X-Box.
Lil' Bro won't be happy. Michigan is holding up Paul Bunyon.
That's nice, too bad they never fix the gameplay.
Linebackers with 5' vertical jumps knocking down any passes over the middle.
Yours only get batted down? I have freaking OLBs transport themselves 10 yards in an instant, leap up and grab one-handed interceptions.
I hate it when I have a WR run a deep in against 2 deep coverage and linebacker goes all braylon edwards 2004 vs msu on me.
I've just gotten really good at hitting TE flag routes out of play action because I hate throwing over the middle.
Always slants. Only thing I can hit thats even close to over the middle
TE post routes all day baby!, gets me a good 20 yards every time
Off the 4 verticals. I may or may not have (read DID) set the single season receiving record in NCAA 12... with Kevin Koger. Then broke that record with Moore.
I've seen Charles Woodson do that.
What's that? Charles Woodson was the best DB to ever play the game?
Oh...well, then.
Is a stud
Wish we could just update the roster every year for a cost insted of 60 bucks every year for the same game.
I'm only buying it of Desmond is on the cover.
Nice! They got the new scoreboards in! Now I'm officially going to buy it.
Everyone go vote on their facebook page for Desmond Howard to be on the cover with RG3! It would be the 3rd time a Wolverine would be on it and the 2nd time for Desmond.
I have the NCAA 99 and 06 games on display on my bookcase.
NCAA 06 was the best of the bunch for 2 reasons:
-
Desmond
- Actual soundtrack, not the same 10 fight songs in a loop.
Mike Hart had just finished his freshman season and was unstoppable in this game as well.
LOVED NCAA 2006! FOR A COUPLE REASONS 1,MICHIGAN WAS BEAST 2,THE PLAYERS YOU RECUIRTED WERE BEAST AND 3,YOU GOT TO SEAL THE DEAL IN OHIO!
Are they retaining the new coaching carousel and custom conferences?
Those are two of my favorite parts of the game. Also it will be nice to have some of the new teams to FBS in the game.
wow, I completely forgot about that (blocked it out, clearly). Now the rage is filling me again.
/CB covers the fly route and the shallow in simultaneously.
//FS covers all four vert routes.
///RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE
While I'm at it, how about a 6'0 205 running back getting taken down easier than a 5'7 170 pound guy or a defensive back not even turning but knowing where the ball is at
Are they retaining the LOL NO READ OPTION FOR YOU and the WTF 50' VERTICAL MLB? If so I will be a sad panda.
Outside zone read doesn’t work so well because the AI dictates your first couple steps, making it difficult to take advantage of cutback lanes. Plus, it’s a play you have to set up first. Inside zone read, however, works perfectly. It’s just unfortunate that most playbooks don’t carry the appropriate formations for it. Usually I use Michigan, but with Oregon’s playbook. Plus, Oregon’s playbook has a heck of a lot more constraint options in case the read option isn’t working out.
Word. Oregon's is my go-to playbook, too. Although I do think it's fun to use Georgia Tech's playbook once in a while if I'm playing against a crappy opponent.
to use is Miss. St. Lots of good read plays, and a few more formations with a TE/ H-Back in the backfield. GT's playbook is a lot of fun to run with online against people. If you run any option based playbook well it gives the other guy fits, haha.
It was only when I started playing FIFA and NHL regularly that I realized how bad EA's football division is. Stop worrying about stupid mascot gimmicks and make the actual game better.
Exactly this. I have NCAA '11, and from what I saw in the video:
- The fans look exactly the same (with the backward hats and everything)
- The cheerleaders look a little better (who cares? EA could leave them out altogether and I wouldn't notice)
- The parachuters coming into Army's stadium before the game (I haven't seen this in any other versions, and it's cool... but it's a gimmick. Nothing to do with the actual gameplay)
- The mascots (they look exactly the same)
I had told myself to wait 2 years before buying the next NCAA game, but seriously, what would I be getting? The updated rosters are appealing, but honestly, after the first couple years in dynasty mode, most of the guys I like will have cycled out of the game already.
you make a great point, my friend. Just keep recruiting that 5'6 160 RB that's 5*s and is impossible to tackle. he shows up every few years and you can win multiple heismans with him.
I think the offensive line blocking (actual zone blocking) improved dramatically in '12 over '11, and the running feels a lot more natural.
For this year I hope they continue to build on that and have OL who actually know their assignments and get to the 2nd level when they should. A lot of guys online have figured out how to trick your OL into missing their assignments, and it's rather obnoxious.
The primary reason I'm looking forward to this year is that it will be the first time Michigan will be rated highly in a long time, and as someone who refuses to play as anyone but Michigan online, this will translate to a dramatic improvement in my record. Or so I hope.
Michigan is pretty good in '12, though it's almost guaranteed that Denard gets hurt at some point in the game.
NHL, and FIFA, two of EA's best games are made by EA Canada. They really get the whole player engine/movement thing.
I love fifa because of the fluid gameplay. Not a big fan of the new tactical defending but i suppose it makes it more realistic than just holding down a button and following after the ball.
Jetpackman? Screw EA, I want Jetpackman
I want Fan Man.
The alternates better be in the game this year.
The game has become recycled garbage. They refuse to put this game into a dumpster fire and start over from the ground up. Instead they sell people on "dreads" and crap like that. After 11 I refuse to buy EA anything. I just found NFL2K5 and its better then Madden 12. A game that is 7 years older is deeper in everyway. Even did the roster update so its current. Its so good.. It makes me wonder what 2K could do with the NFL and College football now. People don't feed the monkey. Stop buying it.
Easier said than done. Where else can I play an NCAA football game? For as bad as the gameplay can be, EA does a good job introducing new features in the game each year (Coaching Carousel, Contracts)
