OT: Monday Night Football
For those of us who aren't watching the baseball game, Indianapolis and Tampa Bay on Monday Night football at the half.
Notables:
- Piere Garcon broke a tackle en route to a 85 yard touch-down pass.
- A Colts defensive lineman went down with a nasty ankle injury (of the season-ending variety).
- Tampa had an opportunity to tie the game at the half, but the field goal was called off due to 12 men on the field (time expired).
- 10-7 Colts

Stevie Brown made a special teams tackle for the Colts. Also got called for a horse collar tackle.

Great to see him on a team - especially beyond a practice squad role.

That was a BS call. Definitely borderline. Gruden went "Really?!" as they cut to commercial.

Offtopic, I know, but come on! Tigers! Verlander --100moh

Tampa bay with 74 yards in penalties just into the 3rd Quarter. Not good at all.

46 yard field goal from Tampa Bay. Tied at 10-10.
In less relevant news, that's 3 points for my Fantasy team. Yaaaaay.

Why are you watching MNF when you could be watching the Tigers?
October 3rd, 2011 at 10:53 PM ^
Maybe because not everyone is a Tigers fan?

Never cared too much for baseball unfortunately.
I'm from the New Jersey area, and I've been to a handful of Yankees games. Unfortunately, I've never managed to have fun without drinking myself into a stupor, and I never thought that was a good attitude to have going to a game.

This. Even if you're not a fan you have to appreciate watching C.C. v. JV

I respect your interests, but I really don't find any enjoyment from the game at all.

Stevie Brown making some good plays as a gunner. Hopefully he sticks at Indy.

And Pierre Garcon just shredded Tampa Bay on a tunnel screen for a 50 yard score!
17-10 Colts

Tampa Bay converts on 4th and 1 and scores on a 13-yard pass.
17-17
EDIT: Great catch by Austin Colle on 2nd and 10 to end the 3rd quarter.

living in Indy who is hating having to root for Curtis bleeping Painter
October 3rd, 2011 at 11:33 PM ^
He definetely could have been worse so far. Although his stats are inflated by Garcons 59 yard screen pass, he's hit some really nice throws. Unfortuantely, he's been alternating them with horrible misses.

A high snap and Vinatieri misses wide left from 43 yards. Despite having Curtis Painter, the Colts are actually moving the ball down the field with reasonable success due to a combination of decent quarterbacking play and horrible Tampa Bay Penalties.
17-17 @ 11:38 in the 4th Quarter.
October 3rd, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
Freeney and Mathis are mauling Tampa Bay's offensive line. Two holding penalites followed by a tackle for loss make it 2nd and 33 for Tampa Bay on their 10.
EDIT: And Adrian Clayborn is mauling the colts as well.

Ack, my condolences. =(

Tampa embarks on a clock killing drive, ending in a 35 Yard LeGarrette Blount touchdown run. Tampa Bay leads for the first time of the night.
24-17 Tampa Bay, 3:15 in the 4th Quarter

Curtis Painter fails to be Peyton Manning, and the Colts punt with 2:46 in the 4th Quarter (3 Timeouts Left)

And Blount's fantastic TD run captures a W for me in FF this week.
Jug, ours. OSU in shambles. Tigers up 2-1. Both FF teams at 3-1. What a good weekend.

That makes me 2nd best in the family. Losing to Dad while beating my brother and his fiancee.

LeGarrette Blount literally drags four Colts from a sure TFL on 3rd and 4 to reach the closest 4th and Inches I've ever seen.
Play under review, while the Droid Bionic commercial plays for the 30th time.

Freeman Sneaks for the 4th down conversion, and game over!
24-17 Tampa

You never like to see those kinds of things. Players seemed pretty shaken up by it. It's tough to rehab those things sometimes depending on how much damage was down to the ankle.

Does anyone else take perverse pleasure in watching the "superteam" eagles get pounded into the turf every weekend? Anyone else cackle with glee when Vick opens his mouth exposing his 65 IQ, only to contradict himself reciting his publicist's prepared statement later? Karma is a bitch Mikey. An angry vengeful bitch.

All I know is that he's been my Fantasy Football savior this year. I would probably be 0-4 right now if it wasn't for him.
