OT: Monday Night Football

Submitted by Hapa on

For those of us who aren't watching the baseball game, Indianapolis and Tampa Bay on Monday Night football at the half.

Notables:

     -  Piere Garcon broke a tackle en route to a 85 yard touch-down pass.

     -  A Colts defensive lineman went down with a nasty ankle injury (of the season-ending variety).

     -  Tampa had an opportunity to tie the game at the half, but the field goal was called off due to 12 men on the field (time expired).

     -  10-7 Colts

Never cared too much for baseball unfortunately.

I'm from the New Jersey area, and I've been to a handful of Yankees games.  Unfortunately, I've never managed to have fun without drinking myself into a stupor, and I never thought that was a good attitude to have going to a game.

Tampa Bay converts on 4th and 1 and scores on a 13-yard pass.

17-17

EDIT:  Great catch by Austin Colle on 2nd and 10 to end the 3rd quarter.

A high snap and Vinatieri misses wide left from 43 yards.  Despite having Curtis Painter, the Colts are actually moving the ball down the field with reasonable success due to a combination of decent quarterbacking play and horrible Tampa Bay Penalties.

17-17 @ 11:38 in the 4th Quarter.

Freeney and Mathis are mauling Tampa Bay's offensive line.  Two holding penalites followed by a tackle for loss make it 2nd and 33 for Tampa Bay on their 10.

EDIT:  And Adrian Clayborn is mauling the colts as well.

Tampa embarks on a clock killing drive, ending in a 35 Yard LeGarrette Blount touchdown run.  Tampa Bay leads for the first time of the night.

24-17 Tampa Bay, 3:15 in the 4th Quarter

And Blount's fantastic TD run captures a W for me in FF this week.

Jug, ours.  OSU in shambles.  Tigers up 2-1.  Both FF teams at 3-1.  What a good weekend.

LeGarrette Blount literally drags four Colts from a sure TFL on 3rd and 4 to reach the closest 4th and Inches I've ever seen.

Play under review, while the Droid Bionic commercial plays for the 30th time.

You never like to see those kinds of things. Players seemed pretty shaken up by it. It's tough to rehab those things sometimes depending on how much damage was down to the ankle.

Does anyone else take perverse pleasure in watching the "superteam" eagles get pounded into the turf every weekend?  Anyone else cackle with glee when Vick opens his mouth exposing his 65 IQ, only to contradict himself reciting his publicist's prepared statement later?  Karma is a bitch Mikey.  An angry vengeful bitch.
