OT: an MDen LOL(!?)
I was looking through the MDen website when I found this...

An official TechFit jersey for $350!
I know they want to make money on this but good luck. I don't even think Michigan will wear the TechFit jerseys anymore since they haven't worn them since the game against northwestern.

I think they should make people try to tear the jersey off Denard. That'll really bring up its value while providing a more direct metaphor for student-athlete abuse.

Maybe someone can clarify this for me:
What is it about our jerseys/team that we have so many players tackled by the opposing defense pulling them down by their jersey?
It happens multiple times a game even with the new jerseys.

Adidas's R&D stance of "fuck seams" probably wasn't very well researched. And the tarp jerseys we have reverted back to are easy to grab for obvious reasons.

Tarp jerseys?

(Note that Lewan is wearing TechFit, but Toussaint is not)

I can find more, but it would just be redundant. Take a look at Toussaint's jerseys on one of the many close ups they're bound to give him after last week. See if you think there's an inefficient amount of fabric used to make his jersey.

I don't know what it is, but I just don't like the look of the adidas jerseys compared to the nike ones.
November 15th, 2011 at 7:10 PM ^
We're 23-24 since we switched to Adidas. We went 130-44 while we were with Nike. That might have something to do with it.
November 15th, 2011 at 7:24 PM ^
Or it doesn't have anything to do with it. We'll never know!
November 15th, 2011 at 7:26 PM ^
No matter how many times I see this, I always chuckle.

How did you get them all to leave?

You can tell its official because the numbers are already messed up.
November 15th, 2011 at 7:08 PM ^
Time. I have wanted a few of these since first saw these.
November 15th, 2011 at 7:09 PM ^
From the website:
Streamlined fit makes jersey harder to grab when tackling.

I paid almost 200 dollars less for a authenic Charles Woodson jersey this year. I actually got a home and away number 2 jersey for less than the 350 dollars they are asking. Plus mine came with a letter of authenticity not that anyone wants mine but 350 is too much imo. I mean Denard is great but he is no Chuck Woodson and I was very happy to get those thru the auction in early September.

"'Those who stay will be champions' screen printed in back of collar"
I wasn't aware of that.
November 15th, 2011 at 7:22 PM ^
Championship years printed around inside of bottom/waist crease (not sure what the right word is there).

Don't mean to hi-jack your thread but I found this interesting "Three new four-stars in the Midwest, and a few other changes in the Scout300 highlighted here: recruiting.scout.com/2/1129069.html " per Trieu's twitter

I paid $50 for my game worn Nike jersey...
November 15th, 2011 at 7:32 PM ^
Will there be three curves of fabric under way too much tension formed accross my chest when I wear it too? If I don't get the "this jersey does not fit Denard Robinson" effect, then I can't be expected to shell out $350 for a jersey that was likely thrown in the garbage by the football equiptment managers.

Adidas sucks, in Swoosh I Trust. There is a reason why Nike is the #1 Sports Brand in the world worth $15 Blllion.
November 15th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
Phil Knight is a good businessman?
November 15th, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
Yes, also funding Nike is kind of like indirectly cutting a check to whichever 5* Chip Kelly wants right now. Not sure how I feel about being deep in bed with Nike. That whole camp this summer where all the top prospects went to Oregon's facilities on Nike's dime felt kind of sketchy.
November 15th, 2011 at 8:11 PM ^
.....how good Phil is in bed.
November 16th, 2011 at 4:29 AM ^
Prospects went to Nike's campus, not Oregon's.

<br>Adidas is a soccer company only copying Nike to keep up.

They're also the #1 Sports Brand in sweat shops in the world.
I like the adidas gear, But COME ON. $350? I got my authentic adidas #2 home jersey off ebay for $30 (regular price of $150).
Also who in their right mind would buy that if Michigan never wears them again? What's the point?
November 15th, 2011 at 8:02 PM ^
sucks. Nike's quality is better but the style is whatever.
November 16th, 2011 at 1:13 AM ^
too fruity
November 15th, 2011 at 9:04 PM ^
1. tOSU and fMSU wear Nike
2. procombat
November 15th, 2011 at 9:10 PM ^
Personally I'm a big fan of the nike ones with the huge holes and the american flag we used to wear
November 15th, 2011 at 9:14 PM ^
I like adidas for the most part, but these jerseys seemed to be the best looking and best fitting Michigan jerseys...ever
November 16th, 2011 at 7:43 AM ^
Agreed. I'm so sick of this TechFit garbage. Just put them in a normal uniform and play the game.
November 16th, 2011 at 10:11 AM ^
Johnny?
November 16th, 2011 at 12:05 PM ^
I might agree with that. But how about saying one of the best threesomes ever?
November 15th, 2011 at 9:33 PM ^
Before all the "Pro-combat" crap Nike started throwing out, I would have preferred them. Then again, I never saw the Notre Dame/Michigan game stuff coming out of Adidas, either. Please, just stick with the best colors and uniforms in college football.

a bit off topic from the OP, but anyone know where I can get a UM soccer jersey? do they even sell them? if not, they should.
