OT-Lebron James returns to Cleveland
I just heard a report on TV that Lebron is returning to Cleveland. He made a statement to Sports Illustrated.
Voluntarily moving there out of ignorance can be forgiven. But living there, moving away, and then voluntarily moving BACK? That's no peccadillo.
I will actually give him mad props if he wins a title in Cleveland.
"wins a title in Cleveland"
does not compute
DIV BY ZERO
No, no, no. The only way that's possible is if a UM grad has to move to/live in/work in Ohio. In this case, LeBron just got more shitty. Actually, after he left Ohio, he was pretty great.
No Cavaliers fan has a right to complain about anything for the next 20 years.
They do still have to live in Ohio.
to watch the Pacers beat them in the playoffs next year.
LeBron's face when he returns.
No. No they won't
Why's he going back? If he couldn't win in Miami what's changed in Cleveland? What a flip-flopping loser. He couldn't carry the jock-strap of the likes Michael, Magic, Bird or Isiah.
CLUTCH PLAYERS.
...
He got two rings in Miami and the other two years made it to the finals. I would consider that "winning" while he was in Miami.
Thank You for some sense. Like him or hate him (or don't really care much like me), he was very successful in Miami.
Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6.......
I think it's the gamble of youth and, hopefully, depth. The problem with the Big Three is that they have to pay all those stars huge amounts of money which means less quality depth, and has been well documented, more minutes/wear and tear on the ageing Big Three. Wade and Bosh were barely useful by the end of the season. After seeing the Spurs dismantle them with depth, it has to be a draw for an aging LeBron to walk into a situation where he's the veteran surrounded with some potential great youth and depth around him. Cleveland will have now, what, 4 first overall picks on that team? If the youth develops, in conjunction with what LeBron can provide, I can see it being an alluring prospect to win some Championships where he won't have to do everything. But it is a gamble. There is no gaurentee any of that youth develops, or other good role/depth players are aquired.
He's much better than Magic and Bird. Comparing him to Isiah Thomas is just ridiculous.
Look at the stats.
from different eras is a fool's errand.
By much better I mean there is no comparison. There's really no argument you could make that Magic or Bird were better by age 30. You could bring up titles but the league was different in the 80's.
Couldn't win in Miami?! He's won two championships and went to four straight finals (something that only two other teams have ever done). If a Michigan player had accomplished that in any of our major sports we would hail him as the greatest Wolverine ever. The notion that he isn't clutch is absurd. He's had some of the best elimination games in NBA history. How can you hate a guy for returning home to bring a championship to a city that hasn't seen one in 50 years?
my Even LeBron hates Ohio t-shirt?
Dang.
"I was hating Ohio back when LeBron was too"
Yes, he has mad skills on the court. But I lost all respect for him when he & Terrell Pryor started backing eachother up
shows that he is maturing...realized how dumb he acted 4 years ago.
Um...all of them?
Marc Stein in reporting that the Cavs are now in negotiations with the T-Wolves to get Kevin Love and that Love WILL sign a long-term deal with Cleveland.
If that happens I like out "big three" better than Miami's.
This one just hit the streets around here....
This reminds me of the old Seinfeld joke about rooting for laundry. The guy is just changing jerseys. How anyone can have any loyalty to a professional sports team is beyond me.
The "team" is just a collection of guys who will wear your jersey if you pay them more than anyone else.
I know, college sports are so pure. The players actually care about the school they go to and don't just want to play for a big name multimillionaire coach who can prepare them for the pros.
Well that's exactly why I'm becoming less interested in college sports too.
