I think it's on Netflix too, btw. Apparently it's really hard to get footage of wolverines in the wild. Like harder than it is to stop Denard.

It is indeed on Netflix instant watch. I had it on a couple months ago after enjoying several beers, and my wife walked into the room and asked what the hell I was watching. Sometimes they just don't get it, do they?

This episode will be repeated a boatload of times this week, and I highly recommend watching it.

I caught the last 20 minutes and it was terrific. www.pbs.org They should have the video posted within the next couple of days. They are usually up on the website for about a month.

We were ferocious, fearless, omnivorous members of the weasel family before ferocious, fearless, omnivorous members of the weasel family were cool.

I love me some wolverine footage. I only know about the one in near Ubly in Michigan. An Ohioan recently reminded me how we got our nickname:
Since a wolverine has a reputation of being ornery, Ohioans called Michiganians "wolverines" as the two sides struggled over who owned the disputed Toledo Strip.

That's one theory about the nickname. There are others. Some say it had to do with the fur trade, which the region's economy was based on during colonial times.
